The Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University (MDKKU) proudly celebrates the successful completion of the academic internship by Miss Shih, Chia-Chieh, a third-year undergraduate student from the Department of Science Communication, College of Science at National Pingtung University. Miss Shih completed her internship program at the Division of Medical Illustration, Faculty of Medicine, MDKKU, which ran from July 23 to August 21, 2026.

Throughout the internship, Miss Shih received close guidance and mentorship from Dr. Chommanad Upachitkul, faculty member and advisor at the Division of Medical Illustration, and Dr. Kan Komanee, Head of the Division of Medical Illustration. She integrated her science communication skills with medical illustration to create a creative project titled “Children’s Electronic Picture Book”. The project aims to provide basic pharmacological education and safe medication practices for children aged 3–7, such as helping reduce fear regarding medicine and teaching safety precautions like avoiding the crushing of certain pills before consumption.

During the development of her project, Miss Shih navigated several key learning processes and challenges:

• Project Development Process: She began by meeting with faculty and peers to define goals, develop story outlines, design characters, and sketch drafts.
• Expert Consultation: She consulted with a pediatric specialist to ensure scientific accuracy and learned principles of visual communication and color design from Dr. Kan Komanee.
• Key Lessons Learned: Creating a children’s picture book taught her the importance of keeping content simple and easy for children to understand, rather than relying on an adult perspective or overly complex academic information.

During the final project presentation and program conclusion, esteemed faculty members and experts participated to review the presentation and share feedback, including Dr. Piyanat Sudee, faculty member, Dr. Kan Komanee, and distinguished partner institution guest Professor Dr. Liu Lan-Yu from the Department of Science Communication, National Pingtung University. The presence and insights of these experts greatly enriched the student’s project.

This ongoing collaboration between National Pingtung University and the Division of Medical Illustration at MDKKU not only enhances students’ skills in medical communication and visual storytelling, but also strengthens friendly relations and builds sustainable international academic networks.

MDKKU ฉลองความสำเร็จการฝึกอบรมและนำเสนอผลงานของนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนจาก National Pingtung University

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ฉลองความสำเร็จในโอกาสที่ Miss Shih, Chia-Chieh นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี ชั้นปีที่ 3 จาก Department of Science Communication, College of Science, National Pingtung University สาธารณรัฐจีน ได้เสร็จสิ้นโปรแกรมฝึกอบรมทางวิชาการ (Academic Internship) ณ สาขาวิชาเวชนิทัศน์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ระหว่างวันที่ 23 กรกฎาคม ถึง 21 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2569 นี้

ตลอดระยะเวลาของการฝึกอบรม Miss Shih ได้รับคำปรึกษาและการดูแลอย่างใกล้ชิดจาก อาจารย์ ดร.ชมนาด อุปชิตกุล อาจารย์ประจำสาขาวิชาเวชนิทัศน์ (อาจารย์ที่ปรึกษา) และ อาจารย์ ดร.แคน กอมณี หัวหน้าสาขาวิชาเวชนิทัศน์ โดยได้นำทักษะด้านการสื่อสารวิทยาศาสตร์มาบูรณาการร่วมกับการสร้างสรรค์ภาพประกอบทางการแพทย์ (Medical Illustration) เพื่อทำโครงงานสร้างสรรค์ “หนังสือนิทานอิเล็กทรอนิกส์สำหรับเด็ก” (Children’s Electronic Picture Book) มุ่งให้ความรู้พื้นฐานด้านการใช้ยาอย่างปลอดภัยสำหรับเด็กอายุ 3–7 ปี เช่น การช่วยลดความกลัวเรื่องยา และข้อควรระวังในการห้ามบดยาบางชนิดก่อนรับประทาน

ในการดำเนินโครงการดังกล่าว Miss Shih ได้ผ่านกระบวนการเรียนรู้และเผชิญความท้าทายสำคัญหลายประการ:

• กระบวนการพัฒนาผลงาน: เริ่มต้นจากการประชุมร่วมกับอาจารย์และเพื่อนร่วมงานเพื่อกำหนดเป้าหมาย พัฒนาโครงเรื่อง ออกแบบตัวละคร และวาดภาพสเกตช์
• การปรึกษาผู้เชี่ยวชาญ: ได้รับคำแนะนำอันมีค่าจากแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านกุมารเวชศาสตร์ ในการตรวจสอบความถูกต้องของข้อมูลวิทยาศาสตร์ พร้อมทั้งเรียนรู้หลักการออกแบบสีและทัศนศิลป์เพื่อการสื่อสาร (Visual Communication)
• บทเรียนและข้อคิดสำคัญ: การทำหนังสือนิทานสำหรับเด็กทำให้ตระหนักว่าเนื้อหาต้องมีความเรียบง่ายและเข้าใจได้ง่ายจากมุมมองของเด็ก มากกว่าการยึดมุมมองของผู้ใหญ่หรือใส่ข้อมูลเชิงวิชาการที่ซับซ้อนเกินไป

ทั้งนี้ ในช่วงการนำเสนอผลงานโครงงานและการปิดท้ายโปรแกรม ได้รับเกียรติจากคณาจารย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเข้าร่วมรับฟังการบรรยายและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็น ได้แก่ ดร.ปิยนัส สุดี อาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตรฯ, อาจารย์ ดร.แคน กอมณี, ตลอดจนคณาจารย์จากสถาบันพันธมิตร ได้แก่ Professor Dr. Liu Lan-Yu จาก Department of Science Communication, National Pingtung University, Taiwan ซึ่งการเข้าร่วมของผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิทุกท่านช่วยเพิ่มคุณค่าและมุมมองรอบด้านให้กับผลงานของนักศึกษาเป็นอย่างยิ่ง

ความร่วมมือระหว่าง National Pingtung University และสาขาวิชาเวชนิทัศน์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ในครั้งนี้ จึงไม่เพียงแต่ช่วยยกระดับทักษะด้านสื่อสารการแพทย์และการเล่าเรื่องด้วยภาพให้กับนักศึกษาเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นการกระชับความสัมพันธ์อันดีและสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติให้มีความยั่งยืนสืบไป

The Medical Student Union of Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the Student Development Affairs, is hosting the KKU-UOEH 2026 Short-Term Cultural and Medical Exchange Program from August 17 to 23, 2026.

On August 19, 2026, Prof. Praew Kotruchin, Vice Dean for Student Development, presided over the official welcoming ceremony and delivered an opening address to warmly receive a delegation of first-year medical students from the University of Occupational and Environmental Health (UOEH), Fukuoka, Japan, at the Nong Wang Meeting Room.

The initiative aims to sharpen international communication skills, foster cross-border perspectives on public health and environmental medicine, and nurture lasting connections between medical undergraduates from both institutions.

The visiting delegation includes three first-year medical students from UOEH:

1. Daiki Tanaka
2. Iroha Iwatate
3. Yukari Inoue

Throughout the intensive seven-day exchange, the delegates are taking part in a comprehensive array of academic and clinical observation sessions. Key highlights include laboratory observations at the Department of Parasitology, a primary healthcare field visit to the Sam Liam Primary Care Unit (PCU), and an academic briefing of the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute (CARI) by Asst. Prof. Poramate Klanrit. The itinerary also encompasses a dedicated field session on the “One Health” paradigm, alongside rich Thai-Isan cultural immersion activities hosted in close partnership with KKU medical student peers.

Beyond broadening global clinical horizons for future healthcare professionals, this exchange serves as an enduring academic bridge, further solidifying bilateral ties and institutional friendship between Khon Kaen University and the University of Occupational and Environmental Health (UOEH), Japan.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ต้อนรับนักศึกษาแพทย์จาก UOEH ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมและวิชาการ KKU-UOEH 2026

สโมสรนักศึกษาแพทย์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ร่วมกับ ฝ่ายพัฒนานักศึกษา จัดโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมและวิชาการระยะสั้น (KKU-UOEH 2026) ระหว่างวันที่ 17 – 23 สิงหาคม 2569 โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ศาสตราจารย์ แพทย์หญิงแพรว โคตรุฉิน รองคณบดีฝ่ายพัฒนานักศึกษา เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดและกล่าวต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนนักศึกษาแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 1 จาก University of Occupational and Environmental Health (UOEH) เมืองฟุกุโอกะ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น อย่างอบอุ่น ณ ห้องประชุมหนองแวง ชั้น 5 อาคารเรียนรวม

โครงการดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมทักษะการสื่อสารในระดับสากล แลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองด้านระบบสาธารณสุขและเวชศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อม ตลอดจนสร้างสัมพันธภาพอันดีระหว่างนักศึกษาแพทย์ทั้งสองสถาบัน โดยมีคณะนักศึกษาแพทย์จาก UOEH เข้าร่วมโครงการจำนวน 3 คน ได้แก่:

ตลอดระยะเวลา 7 วันของโครงการ คณะนักศึกษาแพทย์จาก UOEH ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมทางวิชาการและการศึกษาดูงานหลากหลายมิติ อาทิ การสังเกตการณ์ห้องปฏิบัติการภาควิชาปรสิตวิทยา, การศึกษาดูงานระบบบริการปฐมภูมิ ณ ศูนย์แพทย์ชุมชนสามเหลี่ยม (PCU), การรับฟังการบรรยายและเยี่ยมชมสถาบันวิจัยมะเร็งท่อน้ำดี (CARI) โดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ปรเมษฐ์ กลั่นฤทธิ์, การศึกษาดูงานด้าน One Health รวมถึงการสัมผัสและแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมไทย–อีสานร่วมกับนักศึกษาแพทย์ มข. อย่างใกล้ชิด

การจัดกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้ นอกจากจะช่วยเสริมสร้างประสบการณ์และมุมมองทางการแพทย์ในระดับนานาชาติให้แก่นักศึกษาทั้งสองสถาบันแล้ว ยังเป็นสะพานเชื่อมโยงความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและกระชับมิตรภาพระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และ University of Occupational and Environmental Health (UOEH) ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น

The Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University welcoming Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Chương, a fifth-year medical student from Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, Vietnam, for a clinical elective placement in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Srinagarind Hospital from August 17 to 28, 2026.

Organized through collaborative academic partnerships, this elective program enables the visiting student to exchange medical knowledge with clinical faculty and peers, and explore advanced rehabilitation practices within a leading tertiary care hospital setting.

This clinical exchange highlights Khon Kaen University’s active role in fostering global learning environments, building international healthcare networks, and strengthening cross-border academic collaboration across Southeast Asia.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ต้อนรับนักศึกษาแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 5 จากเวียดนาม เข้าร่วมฝึกอบรมและเพิ่มพูนประสบการณ์คลินิก ณ สาขาวิชาเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟู รพ.ศรีนครินทร์

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เปิดบ้านต้อนรับ Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Chương นักศึกษาแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 5 จาก Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine สาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมเวียดนาม ในโอกาสเข้าศึกษาดูงานและเพิ่มพูนประสบการณ์ทางคลินิก (Elective Program) ณ สาขาวิชาเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟู โรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์ ระหว่างวันที่ 17 – 28 สิงหาคม 2569 รวมระยะเวลา 2 สัปดาห์

การเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมศึกษาดูงานในครั้งนี้ มุ่งเน้นให้นักศึกษาแพทย์ได้ร่วมสังเกตการณ์การบริบาลผู้ป่วย แลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ทางการแพทย์ร่วมกับคณาจารย์และนักศึกษาแพทย์ มข. ตลอดจนเรียนรู้แนวทางการฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพทางการแพทย์และเทคโนโลยีการรักษาขั้นสูงในโรงพยาบาลระดับตติยภูมิชั้นนำของภูมิภาค

การต้อนรับนักศึกษาแพทย์แลกเปลี่ยนจากเวียดนามในครั้งนี้นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญในการส่งเสริมบรรยากาศการเรียนรู้ระดับนานาชาติ พร้อมกระชับความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและวิชาชีพทางการแพทย์ในระดับภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้อย่างยั่งยืน

On August 19, 2026, the Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University welcomed a distinguished delegation of nursing faculty members from the University of Shizuoka, Japan, for an institutional visit and clinical exchange at Srinagarind Hospital. The visit aligns with the faculty’s ongoing strategic drive toward comprehensive internationalization.

The visiting delegation comprised three prominent academics from the University of Shizuoka:

• Mayumi Negishi
• Miho Kondo
• Naoki Sakakibara

During the visit, the delegates observed specialized nursing workflows and clinical operations across key departments at Srinagarind Hospital. A central highlight of the itinerary was the Karunruk Palliative Care Center, a recognized center of excellence dedicated to end-of-life and palliative patient care. The delegates also toured Special Inpatient Ward GW 7/1, Ward 5A, and Ward 5E, engaging with clinical staff to discuss specialized care protocols and the integration of holistic patient support.

The engagement provided a constructive platform for both institutions to exchange expertise on healthcare delivery standards, strengthen bilateral academic ties, and explore future joint research initiatives in nursing and palliative sciences.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ต้อนรับคณาจารย์พยาบาลศาสตร์จาก University of Shizuoka ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ศึกษาดูงานระบบการดูแลผู้ป่วยแบบประคับประคองและหอผู้ป่วย รพ.ศรีนครินทร์

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เดินหน้าขับเคลื่อนยุทธศาสตร์ที่ 4 ในการพัฒนาคณะสู่ความเป็นนานาชาติ (Internationalization Transformation) อย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเมื่อวันที่ 19 สิงหาคม 2569 ที่ผ่านมา ได้เปิดบ้านต้อนรับ Prof. Mayumi Negishi, Prof. Miho Kondo และ Dr. Naoki Sakakibara จาก University of Shizuoka ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในโอกาสเข้าเยี่ยมชมและศึกษาดูงานระบบการบริบาลทางการพยาบาล ณ โรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์

คณะอาจารย์ได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมและแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้กระบวนการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยในหน่วยงานสำคัญ ได้แก่ ศูนย์การุณรักษ์ (Palliative Care Center) ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะท้ายแบบประคับประคอง รวมถึงเข้าศึกษาดูงาน ณ หอผู้ป่วยพิเศษ กว7/1, หอผู้ป่วย 5ก และหอผู้ป่วย 5จ เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ มาตรฐานการดูแลผู้ป่วยเฉพาะทาง ตลอดจนแนวทางการบูรณาการการพยาบาลแบบองค์รวม

การมาเยือนของคณาจารย์จาก University of Shizuoka ในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นโอกาสอันดีในการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ทางวิชาการระหว่างสถาบัน พร้อมทั้งร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองการพัฒนาคุณภาพบริการทางการแพทย์และการพยาบาลในระดับสากล เพื่อนำไปสู่ความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการวิจัยร่วมกันในอนาคต

On August 18, 2026, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, welcomed undergraduate nursing students from Japan and the People’s Republic of China for a clinical study visit and professional exchange at Srinagarind Hospital.

The delegation included 12 nursing students from four institutions:

• Fujita Health University (Japan): Ms. Nanae Kani and Ms. Nanoha Higashimoto
• University of Shizuoka (Japan): Ms. Hana Ichida
• Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine (China): Ms. Huang Shiya, Ms. Wei Suqin, Mr. Liu Chuyu, Mr. Liu Bingzhou, and Mr. Chen Junjie
• Jiujiang University (China): Ms. Xiuliangyu Sun, Ms. Mingyi Yan, Ms. Yaqi Jiang, and Ms. Xinnan Chen

During the visit, the students observed specialized clinical workflows and patient care practices across key units at Srinagarind Hospital, including the Medical Intensive Care Unit 2 (MICU 2), Medical Semi-Intensive Care Units 4B1, 2, and 3, Ward 2E, and the Outpatient Department Stroke Unit. These specialized units provide comprehensive management and rehabilitation for patients with acute, critical, and complex medical conditions.

This clinical study visit underscores Khon Kaen University’s commitment to advancing internationalization, fostering regional academic partnerships, and facilitating cross-border knowledge exchange in nursing and healthcare delivery.

นักศึกษาพยาบาล 4 มหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำจากญี่ปุ่นและจีน ศึกษาดูงานระบบการพยาบาลผู้ป่วยวิกฤตและโรคหลอดเลือดสมอง รพ.ศรีนครินทร์

เมื่อวันที่ 18 สิงหาคม 2569 ที่ผ่านมา คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้เปิดบ้านต้อนรับคณะนักศึกษาพยาบาลระดับปริญญาตรีจากสถาบันการศึกษาชั้นนำ ประเทศญี่ปุ่นและสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน ในโอกาสเข้าศึกษาดูงานและแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ประสบการณ์การบริบาลผู้ป่วย ณ โรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์ประกอบด้วย:

คณะนักศึกษาได้เข้าศึกษาระบบการทำงานและการบริบาลผู้ป่วยเฉพาะทางในหน่วยงานสำคัญของโรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์ ได้แก่ หออภิบาลผู้ป่วยอายุรกรรม 2 (MICU 2), หอผู้ป่วยกึ่งวิกฤตอายุรกรรม 4ข1, 2 และ 3, หอผู้ป่วย 2จ ตลอดจนหน่วยตรวจผู้ป่วยนอกโรคหลอดเลือดสมอง (OPD Stroke Unit) ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านการดูแลรักษาและฟื้นฟูผู้ป่วยที่มีภาวะวิกฤตและโรคซับซ้อน

การต้อนรับคณะผู้ศึกษาดูงานในครั้งนี้นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญในการส่งเสริมบรรยากาศการเรียนรู้ระดับสากล เสริมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านการพยาบาลระหว่างสถาบันในภูมิภาคเอเชียอย่างต่อเนื่อง

On August 17, 2026, the Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University (KKU) warmly welcomed three master’s degree nursing students from the University of Shizuoka, Japan, as part of an international academic exchange program aimed at elevating nursing excellence to a global standard.

During their visit, the students explored specialized nursing care systems at the Labor Room and Wards 2A and 2B. เมื่อวันที่ 17 สิงหาคม 2569 ที่ผ่านมา  คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้ให้การต้อนรับคณะนักศึกษาพยาบาลระดับปริญญาโท จาก University of Shizuoka ประเทศญี่ปุ่น จำนวน 3 ราย ได้แก่:

คณะผู้ศึกษาดูงานได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมและศึกษาระบบการบริบาลทางการพยาบาลเฉพาะทาง ณ หน่วยห้องคลอด รวมถึงหอผู้ป่วย 2ก และ 2ข เพื่อเรียนรู้กระบวนการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วย มาตรฐานการพยาบาลมารดาและทารก ตลอดจนการบริหารจัดการของโรงพยาบาลระดับตติยภูมิชั้นนำในภูมิภาค

การแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ในมิติวิชาชีพครั้งนี้ ไม่เพียงแต่ช่วยเสริมสร้างมุมมองและประสบการณ์ทางคลินิกในระดับสากลให้แก่นักศึกษาต่างชาติ แต่ยังสะท้อนถึงบทบาทสำคัญของคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในฐานะศูนย์กลางทางการแพทย์และการศึกษาที่พร้อมเชื่อมโยงความร่วมมือทางวิชาการกับสถาบันชั้นนำในระดับนานาชาติอย่างยั่งยืน
