Bhutanese Medical Delegation Studies Frontline Emergency Care in Thailand

 

The Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University (MDKKU) has welcomed a 12-member medical delegation from the Kingdom of Bhutan for an intensive observational program focused on high-complexity, tertiary-level trauma and emergency care. Held on July 1, 2026, at Srinagarind Hospital, the exchange marks a key step in regional healthcare capacity building.

The visiting physicians and clinical nursing officers are all participants in the Trauma and Emergency Care Capacity Building Workshop 2026. The delegation was led by Dr. Ratrawee Patanaratanamolee, Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion at Khon Kaen Hospital. Seeking to examine top-tier clinical operations, the group selected MDKKU’s emergency department as a model for regional tertiary healthcare management.

Assistant Professor Mathuros Buranasakda officially received the delegation and served as the lead clinical expert for the visit. Dr. Buranasakda conducted extensive briefing sessions and guided tours through the Accident and Emergency Outpatient Unit. The academic exchange centered tightly on sharing best practices in comprehensive trauma care systems, analyzing clinical workflows, and managing critical patient processing under complex, real-world emergency scenarios.

This cross-border educational initiative is a core component of MDKKU’s “Internationalization Transformation” strategy. By opening its specialized departments to regional neighbors, the university seeks to build sustainable, international medical networks and elevate emergency care standards across the ASEAN and South Asian healthcare communities.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ร่วมยกระดับสาธารณสุขภูมิภาค ต้อนรับคณะแพทย์-พยาบาลราชอาณาจักรภูฏาน เข้าศึกษาดูงานระบบการบริบาลผู้ป่วยอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉินระดับตติยภูมิ

เมื่อวันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม 2569 คณะแพทยศาสตร์ ให้การต้อนรับคณะแพทย์ พยาบาล และบุคลากรทางการแพทย์จากราชอาณาจักรภูฏาน จำนวน 12 ท่าน ในโอกาสเข้าศึกษาดูงานและแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้องค์ความรู้ ณ หน่วยผู้ป่วยนอกอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉิน โรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์

การศึกษาดูงานในครั้งนี้ นำทีมโดย นายแพทย์รัฐระวี พัฒนรัตนโมฬี ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ความร่วมมือขององค์การอนามัยโลกด้านการป้องกันการบาดเจ็บและการส่งเสริมความปลอดภัย โรงพยาบาลขอนแก่น (WHO Collaborating Centre for Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion, Khon Kaen Hospital) นำคณะอาคันตุกะในโครงการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการพัฒนาศักยภาพการพยาบาลผู้ป่วยอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉิน (Trauma and Emergency Care Capacity Building Workshop 2026) เข้าศึกษาดูงานระบบการจัดการทางการแพทย์ที่เปรียบเสมือนศูนย์กลางตติยภูมิของภูมิภาค

ในการนี้ ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์มธุรส บูรณศักดา ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้บริหารโครงการและบุคลากรทางการแพทย์จากประเทศภูฏาน พร้อมทั้งเป็นวิทยากรบรรยายและนำชมหน่วยงาน เพื่อถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และแลกเปลี่ยนแนวปฏิบัติที่เป็นเลิศ (Best Practices) เกี่ยวกับการบริหารจัดการระบบการดูแลผู้ป่วยอุบัติเหตุ (Trauma Care System) ขั้นตอนการปฏิบัติงานทางคลินิก (Clinical Workflows) ตลอดจนการพยาบาลผู้ป่วยฉุกเฉินในสถานการณ์จริงที่มีความซับซ้อนสูง

การต้อนรับคณะสาธารณสุขจากประเทศภูฏานในครั้งนี้ ไม่เพียงแต่เป็นโอกาสอันดีในการพัฒนาศักยภาพและเชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้ทางการแพทย์ร่วมกันระหว่างสองประเทศเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นกลไกสำคัญภายใต้ยุทธศาสตร์การยกระดับความเป็นนานาชาติ (Internationalization) ของคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในการเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางการแพทย์และระบบบริการฉุกเฉินระดับสากล เพื่อการพัฒนาสุขภาวะของประชากรในระดับภูมิภาคอย่างยั่งยืนต่อไป
