On July 9, 2026, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Thuss Sanguansak, Vice Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, together with Assoc. Prof. Pattapong Kessomboon from the Department of Community, Family and Occupational Medicine, welcomed representatives from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine, United States of America: Professor Amr Soliman, Chair of the Department of Community Health and Social Medicine, and Associate Medical Professor Nancy Sohler from the Department of Community Health and Social Medicine, during their visit to the Faculty to discuss opportunities for academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The meeting focused on discussions regarding the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as a framework for strengthening academic collaboration between the two institutions. Both sides also explored opportunities for collaborative initiatives, including the exchange of faculty members, professional staff, researchers, and students, as well as cooperation in education, research, and other academic activities. These initiatives aim to foster the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices while expanding international learning opportunities for students and personnel from both institutions.
The visit marked another important milestone in strengthening the partnership between the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine. Both institutions reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing collaboration in education, research, and academic exchange, creating opportunities for the professional development of students, faculty members, researchers, and staff, while enhancing the internationalization of both institutions through sustainable academic partnerships.
คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ต้อนรับผู้แทนจาก City University of New York สหรัฐอเมริกา หารือความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ
เมื่อวันที่ 9 กรกฎาคม 2569 คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น นำโดย รองศาสตราจารย์ธรรศ สงวนศักดิ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และสื่อสารองค์กร พร้อมด้วย รองศาสตราจารย์ปัตพงษ์ เกษสมบูรณ์ สาขาวิชาเวชศาสตร์ชุมชน เวชศาสตร์ครอบครัว และอาชีวเวชศาสตร์ ให้การต้อนรับผู้แทนจาก City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine สหรัฐอเมริกา ซึ่งประกอบด้วย Professor Amr Soliman, Chair, Department of Community Health and Social Medicine และ Associate Medical Professor Nancy Sohler จาก Department of Community Health and Social Medicine ในโอกาสเดินทางเยือนคณะแพทยศาสตร์ เพื่อหารือแนวทางการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างทั้งสองสถาบัน
การหารือครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นการแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับการจัดทำบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (Memorandum of Understanding: MOU) เพื่อเป็นกรอบในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างทั้งสองสถาบัน พร้อมทั้งหารือแนวทางการดำเนินกิจกรรมความร่วมมือในด้านต่าง ๆ อาทิ การแลกเปลี่ยนคณาจารย์ บุคลากร นักวิจัย และนักศึกษา ความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาและการวิจัย รวมถึงกิจกรรมทางวิชาการอื่น ๆ เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ ประสบการณ์ และแนวปฏิบัติที่เป็นเลิศ ตลอดจนเปิดโอกาสให้บุคลากรและนักศึกษาของทั้งสองสถาบันได้เรียนรู้ในบริบทนานาชาติ
การเยือนคณะแพทยศาสตร์ในครั้งนี้นับเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และ City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine สหรัฐอเมริกา โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายมีความมุ่งมั่นที่จะส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษา การวิจัย และการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวิชาการ เพื่อสร้างโอกาสในการพัฒนาศักยภาพของนักศึกษา คณาจารย์ นักวิจัย และบุคลากร พร้อมทั้งยกระดับความเป็นนานาชาติของทั้งสองสถาบันผ่านความร่วมมือทางวิชาการที่ยั่งยืน
