The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, proudly congratulates four sixth-year medical students — Miss Prima Saetae, Mr. Sapsiri Srisakotr, Mr. Sorrawit Thincheelong, and Miss Amornchanok Leethongdee — on receiving the First Prize in the Undergraduate Occupational Health Team Project Writing Competition.
Their award-winning project, entitled “Occupational Hazard Assessment and Risk-Based Control Strategies in a Prosthetics and Orthotics Unit at Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen, Thailand,” focuses on identifying occupational hazards and developing risk-based control strategies in the Prosthetics and Orthotics Unit at Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University.
The Undergraduate Occupational Health Team Project Writing Competition aims to encourage undergraduate medical students to develop student-led projects addressing workplace hazards, risk assessment, and prevention strategies in occupational health. The competition is open to teams of undergraduate medical students from institutions across the Asia-Pacific region, with projects assessed based on their relevance to occupational health practice, quality of hazard identification and preventive approaches, scientific rigour and clarity of reporting, and educational and public health impact.
The four students received their award at the 24th Asian Congress on Occupational Health (ACOH) 2026, held from 5–8 August 2026 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), Sarawak, Malaysia. Professor Naesinee Chaiear, Chair of the Occupational Medicine Program and the students’ academic advisor, also attended the congress and joined the students in receiving the award.
This achievement highlights the strong potential of Khon Kaen University medical students in applying knowledge of occupational medicine and public health to real-world workplace health and safety challenges. It also demonstrates their ability to develop evidence-based strategies for occupational hazard prevention and risk control that can contribute to healthier and safer working environments.

นักศึกษาแพทย์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น คว้ารางวัลชนะเลิศการประกวดด้านอาชีวอนามัยระดับนานาชาติ
คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ขอแสดงความยินดีกับนักศึกษาแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 6 จำนวน 4 คน ได้แก่ น.ส.พริมา แซ่แต้ นายทรัพย์ศิริ ศรีษะโคตร นายสรวิศ ถิ่นชีลอง และ น.ส.อมรชนก ลีทองดี ที่ได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศจากการประกวด Undergraduate Occupational Health Team Project Writing Competition
ผลงานที่ได้รับรางวัลมีชื่อว่า “Occupational Hazard Assessment and Risk-Based Control Strategies in a Prosthetics and Orthotics Unit at Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen, Thailand” ซึ่งการประกวดดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมให้นักศึกษาแพทย์ระดับปริญญาตรีพัฒนาโครงงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับอันตรายในสถานที่ทำงาน การประเมินความเสี่ยง และแนวทางการป้องกันและควบคุมความเสี่ยงด้านอาชีวอนามัย โดยเปิดโอกาสให้ทีมนักศึกษาแพทย์จากสถาบันการศึกษาในภูมิภาคเอเชียและแปซิฟิกเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน
ผลงานที่เข้าร่วมได้รับการพิจารณาในหลากหลายมิติ ได้แก่ ความสอดคล้องกับการปฏิบัติงานด้านอาชีวอนามัย คุณภาพของการระบุความเป็นอันตรายและแนวทางการป้องกัน ความถูกต้องและจุดแข็งทางวิชาการ ตลอดจนคุณค่าและบทบาทที่มีต่อการศึกษาและสาธารณสุข
นักศึกษาทั้ง 4 คน ได้เข้ารับรางวัลในงาน The 24th Asian Congress on Occupational Health (ACOH) 2026 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 5–8 สิงหาคม 2569 ณ Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) รัฐซาราวัก ประเทศมาเลเซีย โดยมี ศาสตราจารย์เนสินี ไชยเอีย ประธานหลักสูตรอาชีวเวชศาสตร์ และอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษา เข้าร่วมแสดงความยินดีและรับรางวัลร่วมกับนักศึกษาในครั้งนี้
ความสำเร็จดังกล่าวสะท้อนถึงศักยภาพของนักศึกษาแพทย์มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นในการประยุกต์ใช้องค์ความรู้ด้านอาชีวเวชศาสตร์และสาธารณสุขเพื่อศึกษาปัญหาจากสภาพแวดล้อมในการทำงาน พร้อมทั้งพัฒนาแนวทางการป้องกันและควบคุมความเสี่ยงที่สามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ได้จริง อันเป็นส่วนสำคัญในการส่งเสริมสุขภาพและความปลอดภัยของผู้ปฏิบัติงาน
