MDKKU Welcomes Exchange Students from 3 Countries to Enhance Knowledge and Culture

 

On April 8, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University organized a welcome event for exchange students from three countries: Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom. These students have come to further their studies and engage in knowledge exchange at the Faculty of Medicine from April 9th to May 8th. The exchange students participating in the program are as follows:

Exchange students from Wakayama Medical University, Japan:

  1. Mr. Maya Seki,5th-year student in Radiology (Diagnosis) and Emergency Medicine
  2. Mr. Yusuke Kojima, 5th-year student in Radiology (Therapy) and Emergency Medicine

Exchange students from Fujita Health University School of Medicine, Japan:

  1. Mr. Mahendra Kumar Keeran, a 6th-year student in Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery.

The reception of exchange students this time is a valuable opportunity to enhance mutual understanding and academic exchange between countries. The International Relations Office of the Faculty of Medicine organized an orientation session to provide the exchange students with important information about Khon Kaen University, as well as to prepare them for their life as exchange students in Thailand.

In the morning, an orientation session was held, which included an introduction to important locations both inside and outside of Khon Kaen University, as well as basic Thai language lessons to help students communicate more easily in daily life. In the afternoon, the exchange students participated in a campus tour of Khon Kaen University using the KKU Smart Transit service. They were also introduced to various important locations to ensure they had comprehensive information.

This exchange program not only promotes the exchange of academic knowledge in the field of medicine from various countries but also helps foster understanding of diverse cultures.

The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, aims to ensure that each exchange program enhances the knowledge and potential of the institution through the exchange of new information and development, ultimately benefiting the field of medicine to its fullest.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นต้อนรับนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนจาก 3 ประเทศ เสริมสร้างความรู้และวัฒนธรรม

เมื่อวันที่ 8 เมษายนที่ผ่านมา คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้จัดกิจกรรมต้อนรับนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนจาก 3 ประเทศ จาก Wakayama Medical University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น Fujita Health University School of Medicine ประเทศญี่ปุ่น The University of Adelaide ออสเตรเลีย และ Imperial College London สหราชอาณาจักร ซึ่งมาเพื่อศึกษาต่อยอดและแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ในคณะแพทยศาสตร์ในช่วงระหว่างวันที่ 9 เมษายน – 8 พฤษภาคม โดยนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนที่เข้าร่วมโครงการมีดังนี้

การต้อนรับนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นโอกาสอันดีในการเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจและการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวิชาการระหว่างประเทศ โดยงานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ได้จัดกิจกรรมปฐมนิเทศเพื่อให้นักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนได้รับข้อมูลสำคัญเกี่ยวกับมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น พร้อมทั้งเตรียมความพร้อมก่อนเริ่มต้นชีวิตการเป็นนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนในประเทศไทย

ในช่วงเช้าของกิจกรรมปฐมนิเทศ ได้มีการแนะนำสถานที่สำคัญทั้งภายในและภายนอกมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น รวมถึงการสอนภาษาไทยเบื้องต้น เพื่อให้นักศึกษาสามารถสื่อสารในชีวิตประจำวันได้สะดวกยิ่งขึ้น ขณะที่ในช่วงบ่าย นักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนได้ทดลองใช้บริการ KKU Smart Transit พร้อมทั้งได้รับการแนะนำสถานที่สำคัญต่าง ๆ ภายในมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น

โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนี้ไม่เพียงแต่ส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ทางวิชาการด้านแพทยศาสตร์จากหลากหลายประเทศ แต่ยังเป็นการเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจในวัฒนธรรมที่หลากหลายอีกด้วย คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น มีความมุ่งหวังว่า การจัดโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนในทุกครั้งจะเป็นการยกระดับความรู้และศักยภาพขององค์กร ผ่านการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลใหม่ๆ และพัฒนาเพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดในด้านการแพทย์

4月8日，孔敬大学医学院举行了欢迎来自三个国家的交换生活动。参与此次交流的学生分别来自以下大学：和歌山县立医科大学（Wakayama Medical University）、藤田医科大学（Fujita Health University School of Medicine）、阿德莱德大学（The University of Adelaide）以及帝国理工学院（Imperial College London）。
本次交流活动旨在促进医学领域的进修与知识交流，活动时间为2025年4月9日至5月8日。以下是参与此次交流项目的学生名单：

Global Healthcare Leaders Unite: MDKKU Hosts Delegation from Medical Excellence Japan, Medical Excellence Thailand, and ERIA

 

On March 26, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (MDKKU) proudly welcomed esteemed delegates from Medical Excellence Japan (MEJ), Medical Excellence Thailand (MET), and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA). This landmark visit strengthened international collaboration in medical innovation, research, and education, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing healthcare in Asia.

The delegation featured renowned experts in global healthcare, including:

การประชุมและแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ในครั้งนี้เป็นอีกหนึ่งความก้าวหน้าที่สำคัญของ MDKKU ในการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือด้านการแพทย์ระดับนานาชาติ ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่การพัฒนานวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์ที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อสังคมในวงกว้าง

ในช่วงบ่าย คณะผู้แทนได้ได้เยี่ยมชมศูนย์การแพทย์ชั้นนำของคณะฯ ได้แก่ ศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านโรคไต โดยรองศาสตราจารย์ พญ. ศิริรัตน์ อนุตระกูลชัย รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและนวัตกรรมโดย และ ศูนย์เซลล์บำบัดรักษา (Cellular Therapy Center) โดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร. วิยะดา ปัญจรัก ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์เซลล์บำบัดรักษา เป็นผู้นำเสนอความก้าวหน้าล่าสุดทางการแพทย์

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ยังคงมุ่งมั่นสู่ความเป็นเลิศในการแพทย์ระดับนานาชาติ และพร้อมเดินหน้าสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือเพื่อพัฒนานวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์และการดูแลสุขภาพต่อไป

 

Japanese Medical Students Immerse Themselves in Tropical Medicine and Thai Culture at Khon Kaen University

 

Sixteen Japanese medical and radiological technology students from four of Japan’s leading medical universities have embarked on an intensive four-week Clinical Elective Program at Khon Kaen University (KKU), offering them a rare and profound window into the world of tropical medicine and Thailand’s public healthcare system.

The program, held from 3–28 March 2025 at KKU’s Faculty of Medicine, welcomed students from Aichi Medical University, Fujita Health University, Wakayama Medical University, and Gifu University. It offered a hands-on learning experience across a broad range of disciplines — from general surgery, pediatric surgery, family medicine, and community medicine to emergency medicine, rehabilitation, and radiological techniques.

 

 

Through daily clinical rotations at Srinagarind Hospital and outreach in surrounding communities, the visiting students observed surgeries, joined ward rounds, assisted in outpatient clinics, and participated in home visits, gaining insight into Thailand’s tiered public health infrastructure — from primary to tertiary care.

But the program wasn’t only about clinical training. Culture took center stage as well — in between scalpels and stethoscopes, the students folded delicate flowers from pandan leaves alongside their Thai peers, learning the symbolism of fragrance and mindfulness in Thai tradition. In return, they shared the Japanese art of origami, crafting intricate paper shapes that filled the room with laughter and admiration.

These quiet moments of cultural exchange brought warmth and perspective to a rigorous academic journey.

 

 

The elective reflects Thailand’s growing role as a regional hub for global medical exchange and its commitment to academic diplomacy. For the Japanese students, many of whom will return to high-tech medical institutions in their homeland, the experience has offered a unique perspective on resourceful, community-driven healthcare models.

As the final week approaches, friendships have flourished, futures have been reshaped, and the seeds of long-term collaboration between Thailand and Japan have been sown.

คณะนักศึกษาแพทย์และนักศึกษารังสีเทคนิคจาก 4 มหาวิทยาลัยการแพทย์ชั้นนำของประเทศญี่ปุ่น ได้แก่ Aichi Medical University, Fujita Health University, Wakayama Medical University และ Gifu University เดินทางร่วมโครงการ Clinical Elective Program ที่จัดขึ้น ณ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ระหว่างวันที่ 3–28 มีนาคม 2568 เปิดประสบการณ์ใหม่ด้าน “สุขภาพเขตร้อน” และระบบสาธารณสุขไทยแบบเจาะลึก พร้อมฝึกเวชปฏิบัติจริงในหลากหลายสาขา

นักศึกษาญี่ปุ่นได้ลงพื้นที่ฝึกเวชปฏิบัติทั้งในโรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์และชุมชนโดยรอบ จังหวัดขอนแก่น สังเกตการณ์การผ่าตัด ออกตรวจผู้ป่วยนอกและใน ร่วมกิจกรรม home visit และศึกษาระบบสาธารณสุขของไทยตั้งแต่ระดับปฐมภูมิ จนถึงตติยภูมิ เรียกได้ว่าเป็นประสบการณ์ที่เข้มข้นและครอบคลุม

แต่ไม่เพียงแค่ “ศาสตร์” ที่ได้เรียนรู้ “ศิลป์” แห่งวัฒนธรรมก็ได้ถ่ายทอดกันอย่างอบอุ่นหัวใจ
กิจกรรมแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมระหว่างนักศึกษาไทยและญี่ปุ่น ได้แก่ การพับดอกไม้จากใบเตย – หอมกรุ่นด้วยกลิ่นไทย สื่อถึงความใส่ใจและความประณีตในแบบไทย ๆ ขณะเดียวกัน นักศึกษาแดนอาทิตย์อุทัยก็นำศิลปะ โอริกามิ พับกระดาษญี่ปุ่นมาแบ่งปันกันในบรรยากาศสดใสและเป็นกันเอง

มิตรภาพใหม่งอกงามขึ้นกลางบรรยากาศวิชาการเข้มข้น พร้อมเมล็ดพันธุ์แห่งความร่วมมือทางการแพทย์ระหว่างไทย–ญี่ปุ่นที่งอกเงยและพร้อมจะเติบโตต่อไปในอนาคต

MOU Exchange Ceremony: Taipei Medical University – Shuang Ho Hospital Delegation Visits MDKKU to Strengthen Academic and Medical Collaboration

 

On March 27, 2025, at the Nong Waeng Meeting Room, 6th Floor, we hosted a delegation from Taipei Medical University (TMU) – Shuang Ho Hospital (SHH) to explore potential academic and medical collaborations.

 

 

The visiting delegation included:

The program commenced with a welcome address by Assoc. Prof. Warachaya Phanphruk, followed by remarks from Dr. Howard Lee. The highlight of the event was the exchange of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), reinforcing the commitment to academic and medical cooperation between the two institutions.

 

 

 

Key discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration, including a feasibility study on joint academic and medical initiatives. Additionally, two presentations were delivered:

  • “Personal Health AI for Phenomics Medicine: Open Data Infrastructure for Research, Development, and Innovation in Thailand” by Asst. Prof. Jutarop Phetcharaburanin.
  • “AI Applications in Musculoskeletal and Orthopedic Imaging” by Asst. Prof. Prin Twinprai.

 

The visit concluded with a tour of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, led by Assoc. Prof. Kiattisak Kongwattanakul, and a visit to the Khon Kaen University National Phenome Institute, hosted by Asst. Prof. Phetcharaburanin and his team.

This collaboration marks a significant step in fostering international partnerships in medical education and research, promising future advancements in healthcare and innovation.

The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (MDKKU) had the distinct honor of welcoming Prof. Beth Coyle from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, from March 19 to 21, 2025. As a globally renowned authority in tumor microenvironment-powered cellular immunotherapy, Prof. Coyle’s visit represented a seminal milestone in international academic collaboration, reinforcing MDKKU’s steadfast commitment to advancing oncological research and fostering enduring partnerships with preeminent institutions worldwide.

 

 

Advancing Collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University

On March 19, MDKKU hosted a distinguished academic seminar, formally inaugurated by the President of Khon Kaen University, Associate Professor Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul. In his opening address, he underscored the pivotal role of international collaboration in pioneering cutting-edge cancer treatments. Professor Coyle delivered an enthralling keynote lecture on modeling the tumor microenvironment in brain tumors, offering groundbreaking perspectives on future therapeutic paradigms.

The seminar also featured esteemed MDKKU researchers who presented their latest contributions to oncology:

Deliberations centered on strengthening cancer research collaboration between MDKKU and the University of Nottingham. The discussions also explored Professor Coyle’s prospective advisory role with MDKKU’s Cellular Therapy Center, joint research initiatives in immunotherapy and tumor microenvironments, and the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Nottingham. คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ให้การต้อนรับ ศ. เบธ คอยล์ จากมหาวิทยาลัยนอตติงแฮม สหราชอาณาจักร ระหว่างวันที่ 19-21 มีนาคม 2568 เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านวิชาการและวิจัยทางการแพทย์ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในด้านมะเร็ง การมาเยือนครั้งนี้เป็นก้าวสำคัญในการยกระดับความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติ ตอกย้ำศักยภาพของ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ในฐานะศูนย์กลางการวิจัยด้านโรคมะเร็งที่ได้รับการยอมรับในระดับสากล

เมื่อวันที่ 19 มีนาคม คณะแพทยศาสตร์ได้จัดการประชุมสัมมนาทางวิชาการ “Tumor microenvironment-powered cellular immunotherapy: A cancer game changer” โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก รศ. ชาญชัย พานทองวิริยะกุล อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดงาน ซึ่งได้เน้นย้ำถึงบทบาทสำคัญของความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศในการพัฒนาแนวทางการรักษาโรคมะเร็ง โดยในการประชุม ศ. เบธ คอยล์ ได้บรรยายพิเศษในหัวข้อ ” Modelling the tumor microenvironment of brain tumours: The future of cancer treatment” หรือการจำลองสภาพแวดล้อมของเนื้องอกในสมอง พร้อมทั้งได้ให้แนวคิดเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการรักษาในอนาคต

Khon Kaen University Medical Faculty Embraces AI for Global Outreach

 

In a significant step towards enhancing its international communication capabilities, the Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University (KKU) recently hosted a workshop focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in international relations.

Held on March 21, 2025, the workshop, titled “AI for International Communication,” aimed to equip faculty staff with the latest digital tools to effectively engage with the global community. The event, organized by the faculty’s International Relations and Corporate Communications Division, drew a diverse group of participants, including administrators and public relations personnel.

Associate Professor Warachaya Phanphruk, Assistant Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communications, opened the workshop, emphasizing the importance of staying abreast of technological advancements in the field of international relations. Associate Professor Thars Sanguansak, Vice Dean for International Relations, also welcomed attendees, highlighting the faculty’s commitment to fostering global partnerships.

The highlight of the workshop was a practical session led by Dr. Kitt Tientanopajai, Assistant to the President for Digital Affairs at KKU. Dr. Kitt, a digital technology expert, provided in-depth insights into leveraging AI for international communication, including creating content for international social media platforms, analyzing data to understand foreign audiences, and building collaborative networks through digital technologies.

The workshop was attended by key personnel, including Ms. Duangkamol Srisawasdi, Head of International Relations, and Ms. Wannarat Srisai, Head of Public Relations, who led their teams in actively participating in the learning sessions.

This initiative underscores KKU’s commitment to empowering its staff to utilize AI in developing effective international relations and communication strategies. By embracing digital transformation, the faculty aims to strengthen its global presence and build stronger relationships with international partners.

 

 

 

เสริมแกร่งฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และสื่อสารองค์กรสู่ยุคดิจิทัล! คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. จัดอบรม “การใช้ AI ในงานสื่อสารนานาชาติ”

เมื่อวันที่ 21 มีนาคม 2568 คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้จัดอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการสุดพิเศษภายใต้หัวข้อ “การใช้ AI ในงานสื่อสารนานาชาติ” ณ ห้องปฏิบัติการคอมพิวเตอร์ ชั้น 5 คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ซึ่งจัดโดยฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และสื่อสารองค์กร เพื่อยกระดับศักยภาพบุคลากรด้านวิเทศสัมพันธ์ให้ก้าวทันโลกยุคดิจิทัลและสามารถสื่อสารกับนานาชาติได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

บรรยากาศภายในงานเต็มไปด้วยความคึกคักและตื่นเต้น โดยมีรองศาสตราจารย์วรัชญา พันธุ์พฤกษ์ ผู้ช่วยฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และสื่อสารองค์กร ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานเปิดงาน พร้อมด้วยรองศาสตราจารย์ธรรศ สงวนศักดิ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และสื่อสารองค์กร ที่ให้การต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมอบรมอย่างอบอุ่น

ไฮไลท์ของงานอยู่ที่การบรรยายเชิงปฏิบัติการโดย ดร.กิตติ์ เธียรธโนปจัย ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายดิจิทัล มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล ที่มาถ่ายทอดความรู้และเทคนิคการประยุกต์ใช้ AI ในงานวิเทศสัมพันธ์และการสื่อสารนานาชาติอย่างเข้มข้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการใช้ AI เพื่อสร้างเนื้อหาสำหรับสื่อสังคมออนไลน์นานาชาติ การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเพื่อเข้าใจกลุ่มเป้าหมายต่างชาติ และการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือกับนานาชาติผ่านเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล

การอบรมครั้งนี้ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากรของคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ให้สามารถนำ AI มาใช้ในการพัฒนากลยุทธ์ด้านวิเทศสัมพันธ์และการสื่อสารนานาชาติได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น พร้อมรับมือกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลในยุคปัจจุบันและสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีกับนานาชาติ

Khon Kaen University and LuxDev Strengthen Medical Training Collaboration for Lao Physicians

 

The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (KKU) is reinforcing its role as a regional medical training hub by welcoming Dr. Silvia Morgoci, Senior Sectoral Adviser for Health and Nutrition from the Luxembourg Development Agency (LuxDev). Along with representatives from the LAO/035 program, the delegation engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing medical training opportunities for Lao hospital physicians at KKU.

The meeting, held on March 12, 2025, was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thuss Sanguansak, Vice Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Faculty of Medicine, KKU. The discussion focused on medical training programs in key specialties, including Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Anesthesiology, to equip Lao physicians with internationally recognized medical competencies.

 

 

Expanding Medical Cooperation to Strengthen Lao Public Health Workforce

The LAO/035 program, managed by LuxDev, aims to develop Laos’ healthcare system with financial and technical support from the Luxembourg government. This initiative seeks to provide Lao hospital physicians with opportunities for advanced medical training at KKU, fostering a stronger and more skilled healthcare workforce in Laos.

Recognized as a premier medical training institution in Southeast Asia, KKU’s Faculty of Medicine offers comprehensive academic and practical training, supported by expert faculty members across various medical disciplines. The university’s expertise is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of Lao healthcare professionals, enabling them to apply advanced medical knowledge and improve the healthcare system in their home country.

 

Laying the Groundwork for Long-Term Collaboration

The collaboration between KKU and LuxDev marks a significant step toward building a strong regional medical network between Thailand and Laos. This discussions during the meeting could pave the way for future agreements supporting long-term medical training programs and advanced studies for Lao physicians in Thailand.

Beyond medical training, this initiative strengthens international medical cooperation and contributes to enhancing healthcare quality in both countries. The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to sustainable healthcare development, ultimately leading to improved medical services for communities in Laos and Thailand alike.

 

 

 

มข. จับมือ LuxDev หารือส่งแพทย์จากลาวศึกษาต่อ เสริมทักษะทางการแพทย์ระดับนานาชาติ

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (มข.) ตอกย้ำบทบาทศูนย์กลางทางการแพทย์ระดับภูมิภาค โดยให้การต้อนรับ Dr. Silvia Morgoci, Senior Sectoral Adviser for Health and Nutrition จาก Luxembourg Development Agency (LuxDev) พร้อมคณะผู้แทนจากโครงการ LAO/035 พร้อมคณะผู้แทนจากโครงการ LAO/035 ในการประชุมร่วมเพื่อหารือแนวทางส่งแพทย์จากโรงพยาบาลใน สปป.ลาว เข้ามาศึกษาต่อและฝึกอบรมที่คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข.

การประชุมจัดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 12 มีนาคม 2568 โดยมี รองศาสตราจารย์ นพ. ธรรศ สงวนศักดิ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และสื่อสารองค์กร คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ให้การต้อนรับและเป็นประธานการประชุม การหารือครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นไปที่ การฝึกอบรมทางการแพทย์ ในสาขา กุมารเวชศาสตร์ สูติศาสตร์และนรีเวชวิทยา ศัลยศาสตร์ เวชศาสตร์ฉุกเฉิน และวิสัญญีวิทยา เพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะแพทย์จาก สปป.ลาว ให้สามารถให้บริการด้านการแพทย์ที่ได้มาตรฐานสากล

 

ขยายความร่วมมือทางการแพทย์ สู่การพัฒนาบุคลากรสาธารณสุขลาว

โครงการ LAO/035 ภายใต้การดำเนินงานของ LuxDev มุ่งเน้นพัฒนาระบบสาธารณสุขใน สปป.ลาว โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากรัฐบาลลักเซมเบิร์ก ทั้งในด้านงบประมาณและองค์ความรู้ ซึ่งการหารือในครั้งนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อ ส่งแพทย์จากโรงพยาบาลในลาวมาเรียนรู้และฝึกอบรมที่มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. เป็นศูนย์กลางฝึกอบรมแพทย์ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ที่ได้รับการยอมรับ โดยมีหลักสูตรที่ครอบคลุมทั้งภาคทฤษฎีและภาคปฏิบัติ พร้อมอาจารย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญในสาขาต่าง ๆ ที่จะช่วยยกระดับขีดความสามารถของบุคลากรทางการแพทย์จากลาวให้สามารถนำความรู้ไปพัฒนาระบบสุขภาพของประเทศตนเอง

 

วางรากฐานความร่วมมือ มุ่งสู่การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน

ความร่วมมือระหว่าง มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นและ LuxDev ในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการพัฒนาเครือข่ายด้านการแพทย์ระหว่างไทยและลาว ซึ่งอาจนำไปสู่ การลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) ในอนาคต เพื่อสนับสนุนโครงการฝึกอบรมระยะยาวและเปิดโอกาสให้แพทย์จากลาวได้ศึกษาต่อระดับสูงในไทย

การประชุมครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงเป็นการวางรากฐานสำหรับการฝึกอบรมแพทย์จากลาวเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นการ เสริมสร้างเครือข่ายการแพทย์ระดับนานาชาติ ที่จะช่วยยกระดับคุณภาพระบบสาธารณสุขของทั้งสองประเทศ และนำไปสู่การพัฒนาการดูแลสุขภาพของประชาชนอย่างยั่งยืน
