On May 6, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with two leading universities from the United Kingdom: the College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham, and the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification, University of Dundee. The objective of this collaboration is to elevate anatomy education in Thailand to meet international standards.
This collaboration focuses on the development of knowledge and innovation in anatomy education, particularly through the application of the Thiel embalming technique. This method preserves tissue conditions and anatomical structures to closely resemble those of the living body, in terms of flexibility, skin tone, and tissue texture. It significantly enhances the practical training experience for medical students and residents, enabling them to acquire hands-on skills that closely simulate real clinical practice.
The signing ceremony took place at the Nong Waeng Conference Room, 6th floor, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, with executives from all participating institutions in attendance.

This collaboration will be a key mechanism in enhancing the potential of anatomy education, enabling it to keep pace with the challenges of modern medicine and meet the demands of global healthcare systems.”
This collaboration marks an important step in elevating anatomy education and research to international standards. The signing of this MOU not only strengthens the relationship between leading educational institutions from both countries but also opens up opportunities for high-quality cooperation with lasting impact on the global medical field.

“ขอนแก่น-มหิดล” ผนึกกำลัง “เบอร์มิงแฮม-ดันดี” เดินหน้ายกระดับกายวิภาคศาสตร์ไทยสู่มาตรฐานโลก
เมื่อวันที่ 6 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2568 คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และคณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ได้ร่วมลงนามในบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) กับสองมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำจากสหราชอาณาจักร ได้แก่ College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham และ Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification, University of Dundee เพื่อยกระดับการศึกษากายวิภาคศาสตร์ของประเทศไทยให้เทียบเท่ามาตรฐานสากล
ความร่วมมือนี้มุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาองค์ความรู้และนวัตกรรมการสอนด้านกายวิภาคศาสตร์ โดยเฉพาะการประยุกต์ใช้เทคนิคการดองศพแบบ Thiel ซึ่งเป็นเทคนิคที่ช่วยรักษาสภาพเนื้อเยื่อและโครงสร้างร่างกายให้ใกล้เคียงกับสภาพจริงมากที่สุด ทั้งในด้านความยืดหยุ่น สีผิว และเนื้อเยื่อ ซึ่งจะช่วยเสริมสร้างทักษะการฝึกปฏิบัติของนักศึกษาแพทย์และแพทย์ประจำบ้านให้มีประสิทธิภาพใกล้เคียงกับการปฏิบัติงานจริง

ศาสตราจารย์ Tracey Wilkinson ผู้เชี่ยวชาญชั้นนำด้านกายวิภาคศาสตร์ ซึ่งมีประสบการณ์ยาวนานกว่า 30 ปีในแวดวงการศึกษากายวิภาค กล่าวถึงความสำคัญของความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ว่า “ความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติครั้งนี้ถือเป็นจุดเปลี่ยนสำคัญในการผลักดันองค์ความรู้เกี่ยวกับเทคนิคการดองศพแบบ Thiel ซึ่งมีบทบาทอย่างมากในการฝึกทักษะปฏิบัติของนักศึกษาแพทย์และแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ความร่วมมือนี้จะเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพการศึกษากายวิภาคศาสตร์ให้ก้าวทันความท้าทายของการแพทย์ยุคใหม่ และตอบโจทย์ความต้องการของระบบสุขภาพในระดับสากล”
ความร่วมมือนี้ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการยกระดับการศึกษาและการวิจัยด้านกายวิภาคศาสตร์ให้เข้าสู่มาตรฐานโลก การลงนามในบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) ครั้งนี้ ไม่เพียงช่วยกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษาชั้นนำจากทั้งสองประเทศ แต่ยังเปิดประตูสู่ความร่วมมือที่มีคุณภาพ และก่อให้เกิดผลลัพธ์ที่ยั่งยืนต่อวงการแพทย์ต่อไป

孔敬大学与玛希隆大学携手伯明翰大学与邓迪大学 推动泰国解剖学迈向国际标准
2025年5月6日，孔敬大学医学院与玛希隆大学理学院，联合英国两所名牌大学–伯明翰大学医学与牙科科学学院（College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham）和邓迪大学人体解剖与身份识别中心（Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification, University of Dundee），签署了合作备忘录（MOU），旨在将泰国的解剖学教育提升至国际标准。
本次合作旨在推动解剖学教学知识与创新的发展，特别是推广 Thiel 防腐技术的应用该技术能够最大程度地保留尸体组织和解剖结构的真实状态，包括柔韧性、皮肤颜色和组织质感，从而有效提升医学生和住院医师的实操技能，使其训练过程更贴近真实临床环境。
