The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (KKU) had the great honor of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung University, Indonesia, led by Professor Ns. Arena Lestari, M.Kep., Sp.Kep.J., Ph.D., Rector of the university. The delegation included senior administrators and graduate nursing students, all eager to engage in academic exchanges and professional development.

This visit was part of an ongoing academic exchange program and study visit on nursing sciences, aimed at fostering deeper collaboration in education, training, and curriculum development between the two institutions. The delegation was warmly received by Mrs. Benjamas Jannuan, Deputy Director of Nursing, Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, who highlighted the significance of international partnerships in advancing healthcare education and practice.

Sharing Expertise and Strengthening Professional Networks

During their visit, the Indonesian delegation met with senior nursing leaders at Srinagarind Hospital and took part in a study tour of the Accident & Emergency Unit and Ward 3B, both of which play a critical role in tertiary patient care for Northeastern Thailand.

The study visit provided an opportunity for an in-depth exchange of knowledge on best practices in patient care, nursing education, and hospital management, reinforcing the commitment of both institutions to advancing professional nursing standards.

Fostering International Nursing Networks

Beyond knowledge-sharing, this visit marked a crucial step in building a stronger international academic network. The discussions explored potential collaborations in research, faculty and student exchange programs, and training initiatives, paving the way for a more interconnected nursing education system between Thailand and Indonesia.

คณะผู้บริหารและนักศึกษาจากอินโดนีเซียได้เข้า เยี่ยมคารวะหัวหน้าฝ่ายการพยาบาล และเข้าร่วมศึกษาดูงานใน หอผู้ป่วยอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉิน และหอผู้ป่วย 3ข ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์กลางการดูแลผู้ป่วยหนักระดับตติยภูมิของภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ

เสริมสร้างเครือข่ายด้านพยาบาลศาสตร์ระดับนานาชาติ

การมาเยือนครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงแต่เปิดโอกาสให้ทั้งสองสถาบันได้แลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านพยาบาลศาสตร์ แต่ยังเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการสร้างเครือข่ายทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่การ พัฒนามาตรฐานการพยาบาล การฝึกอบรมบุคลากร และการแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาระหว่างสองประเทศ

Fakultas Kedokteran, Universitas Khon Kaen (KKU) dengan bangga menyambut delegasi terhormat dari Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung, Indonesia, yang dipimpin oleh Profesor Ns. Arena Lestari, M.Kep., Sp.Kep.J., Ph.D., Rektor Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung. Delegasi ini terdiri dari pejabat tinggi universitas serta mahasiswa pascasarjana keperawatan yang berpartisipasi dalam program pertukaran akademik dan kunjungan studi di bidang keperawatan.

Kunjungan ini merupakan bagian dari program kerja sama akademik dan studi keperawatan yang bertujuan untuk mempererat hubungan dalam bidang pendidikan, pelatihan, serta pengembangan kurikulum antara kedua institusi. Dalam kunjungannya, delegasi dari Indonesia berkesempatan untuk bertemu dengan pimpinan keperawatan di Rumah Sakit Srinagarind serta mengikuti tur studi di Unit Gawat Darurat dan Bangsal 3B, yang merupakan pusat layanan perawatan pasien kritis tingkat tersier di wilayah timur laut Thailand.

Melalui kegiatan ini, kedua institusi dapat bertukar wawasan mengenai praktik terbaik dalam perawatan pasien, pendidikan keperawatan, serta manajemen rumah sakit, guna meningkatkan standar profesionalisme di bidang keperawatan.

The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (KKU), Thailand, warmly welcomed a nursing delegation from Keio University Hospital, Japan, for a three-day study visit from February 4 to 6, 2025. The program aimed to enhance professional nursing skills, foster knowledge exchange, and build lasting international partnerships in patient care.

First-Hand Experience in Advanced Patient Care

During their time at Srinagarind Hospital, KKU’s leading medical facility, the visiting nurses, Miss Erika Onuma and Miss Kasumi Yanagi, observed and participated in tertiary-level patient care across multiple specialized units.

Miss Kasumi Yanagi focused on postoperative and rehabilitative patient care in Wards 5C and 5B, where she learned about advanced nursing interventions for recovering patients. Meanwhile, Miss Erika Onuma engaged with critical care nursing in Medical Intensive Care Units (MICU1 and MICU2), gaining insight into high-acuity patient management.

On their final day, both nurses explored Neurological Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU3), where they observed specialized care for patients with severe neurological conditions and those recovering from major surgery. The visit concluded with a roundtable discussion, allowing both Thai and Japanese nurses to reflect on their experiences and exchange perspectives on best nursing practices.

The program was facilitated by leading nursing professionals from Srinagarind Hospital, including:

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ต้อนรับทีมพยาบาลเคโอะ เสริมแกร่งเครือข่ายวิชาชีพ พยาบาลไทย-ญี่ปุ่น

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (มข.) เปิดบ้านต้อนรับทีมพยาบาลจากโรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยเคโอะ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ที่เดินทางมาเข้าร่วมโครงการศึกษาดูงานด้านการพยาบาล ระหว่างวันที่ 4 – 6 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านการดูแลผู้ป่วยระดับตติยภูมิ และเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือทางวิชาชีพกับพยาบาลไทย โดยได้รับการต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่นจากทีมพยาบาลโรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์

พยาบาลญี่ปุ่น เจาะลึกงานดูแลผู้ป่วยหนัก

ในช่วงสามวันของการศึกษาดูงาน Miss Kasumi Yanagi และ Miss Erika Onuma ได้ลงพื้นที่สัมผัสกระบวนการดูแลผู้ป่วยจริงในหน่วยงานสำคัญของโรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์ โดยทั้งสองท่านได้รับมอบหมายให้ศึกษาแนวทางการดูแลผู้ป่วยในหออภิบาลผู้ป่วยหนัก และหอผู้ป่วยเฉพาะทางที่ต้องการการดูแลอย่างใกล้ชิด

ตลอดการแลกเปลี่ยน Miss Kasumi Yanagi ได้รับประสบการณ์ในหอผู้ป่วย 5ค และ 5ข ซึ่งเน้นการดูแลผู้ป่วยหลังการผ่าตัดและฟื้นฟูสุขภาพ ขณะที่ Miss Erika Onuma ได้ฝึกสังเกตการณ์และเรียนรู้แนวทางการดูแลผู้ป่วยวิกฤติใน MICU1 และ MICU2 ซึ่งเป็นหออภิบาลผู้ป่วยหนักที่ต้องการการดูแลเป็นพิเศษ

ในวันสุดท้ายของโครงการ ทั้งสองท่านได้เข้าศึกษาการดูแลผู้ป่วยใน NSICU และ SICU3 ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานที่รองรับผู้ป่วยที่มีภาวะวิกฤติทางระบบประสาทและผู้ป่วยศัลยกรรมหนัก ก่อนจะปิดท้ายด้วยการประชุมสรุปผล แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็น และประเมินผลการศึกษาดูงานร่วมกับทีมพยาบาลไทย

พยาบาลไทย-ญี่ปุ่น แลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ สร้างเครือข่ายวิชาชีพ

โครงการนี้ได้รับการต้อนรับอย่างเป็นทางการจากทีมพยาบาลของโรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์ นำโดย พว. เบญมาศ จันทร์นวล หัวหน้าฝ่ายการพยาบาล พว. อุไรวรรณ ใจจังหรีด รองหัวหน้าฝ่ายการพยาบาลฝ่ายวิชาการ พว. สมคิด วิลเลี่ยมส์ ประธานคณะกรรมการวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และคณะพยาบาลชั้นนำที่มาร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้

พว. อุไรวรรณ ใจจังหรีด กล่าวถึงความสำคัญของโครงการนี้ว่า “การศึกษาดูงานครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงแต่เป็นโอกาสให้พยาบาลจากญี่ปุ่นได้เรียนรู้ระบบพยาบาลของไทย แต่ยังช่วยเปิดมุมมองใหม่ๆ ให้กับพยาบาลของเราเอง เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นที่ดีของความร่วมมือด้านการพยาบาลระหว่างไทยและญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งอาจนำไปสู่การฝึกอบรมและพัฒนาวิชาชีพร่วมกันในอนาคต”

ก้าวสำคัญของพยาบาลไทย สู่เวทีสากล

นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งความสำเร็จของคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ที่มุ่งมั่นพัฒนาและยกระดับมาตรฐานการพยาบาลให้ก้าวไกลในระดับนานาชาติ การเปิดบ้านต้อนรับทีมพยาบาลจากญี่ปุ่นในครั้งนี้ ไม่เพียงแต่ช่วยให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ระหว่างสองประเทศ แต่ยังเป็นสัญญาณที่ดีของการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือด้านพยาบาลในระดับสากล ที่จะช่วยยกระดับวิชาชีพพยาบาลไทยให้ก้าวไกลยิ่งขึ้น

庆应大学医院护理团队访问孔敬大学 促进国际护理合作

【新华社孔敬，2025年2月6日电】 孔敬大学医学院（KKU）于 2025年2月4日至6日 热烈欢迎来自日本庆应大学医院的护理团队，开展为期三天的护理学术交流和实习考察活动。本次访问旨在提升专业护理技能，促进国际护理知识共享，并加强跨国护理合作，推动高水平患者护理的发展。

深入体验高级护理实践

在此次访问期间，庆应大学医院的两位注册护士——Miss Erika Onuma 和 Miss Kasumi Yanagi 深入 孔敬大学医学院附属诗那卡琳医院（Srinagarind Hospital） 进行护理观察与实践学习，重点关注**三级护理（高级专科护理）**的实施与发展。

Kasumi Yanagi 主要学习术后康复及住院护理，在5C病房和5B病房 体验护理干预措施，掌握泰国护理模式下的患者恢复管理方法。同时，Erika Onuma 进入医学重症监护病房（MICU1 和 MICU2） 观察危重患者护理的细节，包括紧急救治和高依赖护理管理。

在访问的最后一天，两位护士前往神经重症监护病房（NSICU）和外科重症监护病房（SICU3），进一步学习严重神经损伤患者和大手术术后患者的护理流程，并与泰国护理专家进行了深入的讨论和经验交流。

Mr. Shogo Fukui, an expert in cardiovascular physical therapy and Head of the Therapy Team at the Critical Unit (CU) and High Care Unit (HCU) from Keio University, Japan, visited the Physical Therapy Unit, Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, from February 4 to 6, 2025.

The primary objectives of this visit were to study the medical rehabilitation systems in Thailand, understand the role of physical therapists within interdisciplinary medical teams, exchange innovations and research in the rehabilitation department, and explore the involvement of physical therapists in critical care settings.

This visit provided a unique opportunity for international collaboration and knowledge sharing, further advancing rehabilitation practices in both Thailand and Japan. The Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University continues to foster global ties and enhance medical education through such enriching exchanges.

Mr. Shogo Fukui (โชโกะ ฟุกุอิ) นักกายภาพบำบัดผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านกายภาพบำบัดหัวใจและหลอดเลือด และหัวหน้าทีมบำบัดฟื้นฟูประจำหอผู้ป่วยวิกฤต (CU) และหอผู้ป่วยวิกฤตชั้นสูง (HCU) จาก Keio University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น เดินทางมาศึกษาดูงานและแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ ณ หน่วยกายภาพบำบัด โรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์ สาขาวิชาเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟู มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ระหว่างวันที่ 4 – 6 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2568

วัตถุประสงค์หลักของการศึกษาดูงานครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ การศึกษาระบบฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพทางการแพทย์ในประเทศไทย การเรียนรู้บทบาทของนักกายภาพบำบัดในทีมแพทย์แบบสหสาขาวิชาชีพ การแลกเปลี่ยนนวัตกรรมและการวิจัยในแผนกฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพ และการศึกษาการมีส่วนร่วมในการดูแลผู้ป่วยในหอผู้ป่วยวิกฤต

心脏与血管物理治疗专家来自日本庆应大学 在诗那卡琳医院进行学术交流

Mr. Shogo Fukui，心脏与血管物理治疗专家，同时担任日本庆应大学危重症病房（CU）及高级危重症病房（HCU）康复治疗团队负责人，于2025年2月4日至2025年2月6日赴泰国诗那卡琳医院康复医学科物理治疗部门，开展学习考察与学术交流。

此次考察的主要目的包括：研究泰国的医学康复体系、学习物理治疗师在跨学科医疗团队中的角色、交流康复部门的创新与研究成果，以及探讨物理治疗师在危重症病房患者护理中的参与情况。

此次访问不仅为国际合作与学术交流提供了宝贵机会，也有助于推动泰国与日本在康复医学领域的实践与发展。孔敬大学医学院将继续致力于促进国际合作，并通过此次学术交流提升医学教育水平。

On February 3, 2024, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (MDKKU), had the honor of welcoming Prof. Carolyn M. Slupsky from the Department of Nutrition and the Department of Food Science & Technology, University of California. Her visit provided an opportunity for discussions with Assoc. Prof. Pattarapong Makarawate, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, on academic collaboration in the fields of nutrition and food science.

During this visit, the Dean, along with the faculty’s executives and staff, warmly welcomed Prof. Slupsky and engaged in a fruitful exchange of ideas regarding research and knowledge development in nutrition and food science, which play a crucial role in healthcare and medicine.

This discussion marked an important step in strengthening academic collaboration between leading global institutions, paving the way for research advancements and innovations that can be applied to public health and medical fields in the future. On January 29, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (MDKKU), had the honor of welcoming Visiting Professor Shi-Uk Lee from Seoul National University, Korea. His visit aimed to discuss academic collaboration in rehabilitation medicine, a field with great potential for advancing medical innovation and patient care between the two institutions.

Professor Shi-Uk Lee is a renowned expert in rehabilitation medicine and currently holds a position at Seoul National University, one of South Korea’s leading universities. He has played a crucial role in driving research in rehabilitation medicine and developing new techniques and technologies for patient treatment.

The meeting was attended by key administrators from the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, including Assoc. Prof. Warachaya Phanphruk, Assistant for International Relations and Corporate Communication; Associate Professor Nuttaset Manimmanakorn, Head of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department; and Assistant Professor Ratana Vichiansiri, Deputy Head of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department.

Discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration at various levels—university-wide, faculty-wide, and departmental—emphasizing the development of academic and research partnerships. The two institutions explored the possibility of establishing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to facilitate academic exchange and joint research projects. Such collaboration would contribute to medical innovations with global applicability.

This partnership marks a significant step in strengthening academic relations between the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and Seoul National University. It paves the way for further research and educational development while offering opportunities for students and medical professionals to participate in international exchange programs.

เมื่อวันที่ 29 มกราคม 2568 คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้รับเกียรติจาก Visiting Professor Shi-Uk Lee จาก Seoul National University ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ ซึ่งเดินทางมาเยือนเพื่อหารือความร่วมมือทางวิชาการด้านเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟู อันเป็นสาขาที่มีศักยภาพในการพัฒนานวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์และการดูแลผู้ป่วยร่วมกันระหว่างทั้งสองสถาบัน

ศาสตราจารย์ Shi-Uk Lee เป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟูที่มีชื่อเสียงระดับนานาชาติ ปัจจุบันดำรงตำแหน่งที่ Seoul National University ซึ่งเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำของเกาหลีใต้ และมีบทบาทสำคัญในการผลักดันงานวิจัยด้านเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟู ตลอดจนการพัฒนาเทคนิคและเทคโนโลยีใหม่ ๆ ในการรักษาผู้ป่วย

ในการหารือได้มีการแลกเปลี่ยนแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับแนวทางความร่วมมือที่เป็นไปได้ในหลายระดับ ทั้งระดับมหาวิทยาลัย ระดับคณะ และระดับสาขาวิชา โดยมุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาความร่วมมือผ่านบันทึกข้อตกลงทางวิชาการและการวิจัยระหว่างทั้งสองสถาบัน เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และเพิ่มโอกาสในการพัฒนางานวิจัยร่วมกัน อันจะนำไปสู่การสร้างนวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์ที่สามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในระดับสากล

On January 28, 2025, a delegation from the National University of Laos (NUOL), alongside representatives from various academic and governmental institutions in Laos, visited the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (MDKKU) to discuss potential collaborations in education, public health, and tropical medicine. The visit was marked by insightful discussions, knowledge exchange, and an exploration of opportunities for joint research and academic initiatives.

Distinguished Delegates

The NUOL delegation was led by Dr. Kongsy Chounlamany, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education, NUOL, and included key academic figures such as Associate Professor Sachi Tomokawa, Department of Sports and Sciences (School Health), Faculty of Education, Shinshu University, Japan, and Associate Professor Takeshi Akiyama, Nagano College of Nursing, Japan. Representatives from Champasak Provincial Educational and Health Offices, Pakse Teacher Training College, and district-level educational and health offices in Champasak Province also participated in the visit.

From KKU, Associate Professor Thuss Sanguansak, Vice Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. Other notable participants included Professor Banchob Sripa, Director of the Tropical Disease Research Center, and Associate Professor Sutas Suttiprapa, Head of the Department of Tropical Medicine.

Opening Remarks

The visit commenced with a welcome speech by Associate Professor Thuss Sanguansak, Vice Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, emphasizing KKU’s commitment to fostering academic partnerships and enhancing international collaboration. He stated, “We are honored to welcome our esteemed colleagues from NUOL and look forward to meaningful discussions that will strengthen our collaboration.”

In response, Associate Professor Sachi Tomokawa expressed gratitude for the warm reception, saying, “This visit is a valuable opportunity for us to learn from each other and explore future joint initiatives.” Associate Professor Takeshi Akiyama added, “We appreciate the platform provided by KKU to discuss crucial academic and research developments.” Dr. Kongsy Chounlamany also remarked, “Collaboration between our institutions will lead to significant advancements in education and public health.”

Discussion on Future Collaboration

A key highlight of the visit was the discussion on future collaboration, particularly in the field of tropical medicine and community health.

Prof. Banchob Sripa, Director of the Tropical Disease Research Center, introduced the Lawa Model, a successful community-based approach for controlling liver fluke infections in Thailand, and proposed its adaptation for implementation in Laos. He emphasized, “The Lawa Model has proven effective in Thailand, and we believe it can serve as a foundation for impactful research and development projects in Laos.”

Dr. Nanthasane Vannavong, Deputy Director, Champasak Provincial Health Office, presented a project aimed at enhancing and developing the Lawa Model in Laos, stating, “Our goal is to tailor the Lawa Model to the specific needs of Laos, ensuring its sustainability and effectiveness.”

Dr. Xayapheth Chaphichith, Deputy Director, Department of Teacher Education, NUOL, highlighted that the successful implementation of the Lawa Model in Laos would require the cooperation and engagement of all relevant stakeholders. He noted, “For this model to succeed, collaboration between government agencies, academic institutions, and local communities is essential.”

Assoc. Prof. Sutas Suttiprapa, Head of the Department of Tropical Medicine, reaffirmed KKU’s readiness to support the project through technical expertise, academic resources, and joint research initiatives. He stated, “KKU is fully committed to providing the necessary support to ensure the success of this collaborative effort in Laos.”

The visit of the NUOL delegation to MDKKU marked an important step in strengthening academic ties and fostering regional collaboration in education, public health, and tropical medicine. Both institutions expressed their commitment to exploring further opportunities for research partnerships and knowledge-sharing initiatives that will benefit both Thailand and Laos. Future discussions and project planning sessions are expected to follow, solidifying the collaborative efforts between the two universities and their partners.

This academic visit reflects the growing importance of international cooperation in addressing global health challenges and enhancing educational frameworks for sustainable development in the region.

เมื่อวันที่ 28 มกราคม 2568 คณะผู้แทนจากมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติลาว พร้อมด้วยตัวแทนจากหน่วยงานด้านการศึกษาและสาธารณสุขในลาว ได้เดินทางเยือน คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น  เพื่อหารือเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษา สาธารณสุข และเวชศาสตร์เขตร้อน การเยือนครั้งนี้มีการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และเพิ่มโอกาสในการทำวิจัยและริเริ่มโครงการทางวิชาการร่วมกัน

การเยือนครั้งนี้เริ่มต้นด้วยการกล่าวต้อนรับจาก รองศาสตราจารย์ธรรศ สงวนศักดิ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และสื่อสารองค์กร ซึ่งเน้นย้ำถึงความมุ่งมั่นของมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและขยายความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ กล่าวว่า “คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นรู้สึกเป็นเกียรติอย่างยิ่งที่ได้ต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนจากลาวและญี่ปุ่น และหวังว่าการหารือในวันนี้จะนำไปสู่ความร่วมมือที่มีคุณค่าและยั่งยืน”

ในโอกาสนี้ Associate Professor Sachi Tomokawa ได้กล่าวแสดงความขอบคุณต่อการต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่น โดยกล่าวว่า “การเยือนครั้งนี้เป็นโอกาสอันดีในการเรียนรู้และสำรวจแนวทางการดำเนินโครงการร่วมกันในอนาคต”

ขณะที่ Associate Professor Takeshi Akiyama กล่าวว่า “เราชื่นชมที่มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นจัดเวทีให้เราได้พูดคุยเกี่ยวกับประเด็นทางวิชาการและการวิจัยที่สำคัญ”

การหารือความร่วมมือในอนาคต

จุดเด่นสำคัญของการเยือนครั้งนี้คือการหารือถึงแนวทางความร่วมมือในอนาคต โดยเฉพาะในด้านเวชศาสตร์เขตร้อนและสุขภาพชุมชน

ศาสตราจารย์บรรจบ ศรีภา ได้แนะนำ “Lawa Model” ซึ่งเป็นแนวทางปฏิบัติเพื่อควบคุมโรคพยาธิใบไม้ตับในประเทศไทย และเสนอแนวทางการปรับใช้ในประเทศลาว โดยกล่าวว่า “Lawa Model พิสูจน์แล้วว่ามีประสิทธิภาพในประเทศไทย และเรามองเห็นศักยภาพในการนำไปต่อยอดเป็นโครงการวิจัยและพัฒนาในลาว”

Dr. Nanthasane Vannavong รองผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานสาธารณสุขแขวงจำปาสัก ได้นำเสนอแผนโครงการที่มีเป้าหมายเพื่อประยุกต์ใช้ Lawa Model ในประเทศลาว โดยกล่าวว่า “เป้าหมายของเราคือการปรับใช้ Lawa Model ให้เหมาะสมกับบริบทของลาว เพื่อให้เกิดความยั่งยืนและมีประสิทธิภาพ”

Dr. Xayapheth Chaphichith รองผู้อำนวยการกรมการศึกษาครู มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติลาว เน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของความร่วมมือจากทุกฝ่าย โดยกล่าวว่า “การนำ Lawa Model ไปใช้ให้เกิดผลจริงในลาว จำเป็นต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ สถาบันการศึกษา และชุมชนท้องถิ่น”

รองศาสตราจารย์ สุทัศน์ สุทธิประภา หัวหน้าสาขาวิชาเวชศาสตร์เขตร้อน แสดงความพร้อมของมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นในการสนับสนุนโครงการนี้ โดยกล่าวว่า “มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นยินดีให้การสนับสนุนทางด้านเทคนิค ทรัพยากรทางวิชาการ และความร่วมมือด้านการวิจัย เพื่อให้โครงการนี้ประสบความสำเร็จ”

On January 24, 2025, at the Udon Tantisunthorn Conference Room, College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University, a warm welcome ceremony was held for H.E. Mr. Athsaphangthong Siphandone, the Governor of Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR, and his delegation during their official visit to Khon Kaen Province. The ceremony was attended by Associate Professor Thuss Sanguansak, Associate Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, who also extended a warm welcome to the delegation.

This visit marked another important step under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Khon Kaen Province and Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR. Khon Kaen University plays a pivotal role in advancing cooperation in medicine and public health. The Faculty of Medicine has been working closely with health agencies in Laos to enhance healthcare capabilities in border areas and facilitates the exchange of knowledge and medical personnel.

In addition, the delegation discussed cooperation on various fronts, including education enhancement, agriculture and the environment, economic development and investment, smart city development, and local public administration. This cooperation not only strengthens the relationship between Khon Kaen and Vientiane but also creates opportunities for sustainable development, ultimately improving the quality of life for people in the region and enhancing the strength of the ASEAN community in the future.

เมื่อวันที่ 24 มกราคม 2568  ณ ห้องประชุมอุดร ตันติสุนทร วิทยาลัยการปกครองท้องถิ่น มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้จัดพิธีต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่นแก่ท่านอาดสะพังทอง สีพันดอน เจ้าครองนครหลวงเวียงจันทน์ สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว พร้อมคณะ ในโอกาสเดินทางเยือนจังหวัดขอนแก่นอย่างเป็นทางการ โดยมีรองศาสตราจารย์นายแพทย์ธรรศ สงวนศักดิ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์และสื่อสารองค์กร คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ

การเยือนครั้งนี้ถือเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญภายใต้บันทึกความร่วมมือ (MOU) ระหว่างจังหวัดขอนแก่นและนครหลวงเวียงจันทน์ สปป.ลาว ซึ่งมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นมีบทบาทสำคัญในการผลักดันความร่วมมือด้านการแพทย์และสาธารณสุข โดยคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้ทำงานร่วมกับหน่วยงานด้านสาธารณสุขใน สปป.ลาว อย่างใกล้ชิดเพื่อพัฒนาศักยภาพการดูแลสุขภาพประชาชนในพื้นที่ชายแดน รวมถึงการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และบุคลากรด้านการแพทย์

นอกจากนี้ คณะผู้เยือนยังได้หารือแนวทางความร่วมมือในหลากหลายมิติ อาทิ การยกระดับการศึกษา การเกษตรและสิ่งแวดล้อม การพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุน การพัฒนาเมืองอัจฉริยะ และการบริหารกิจการสาธารณะของท้องถิ่น ความร่วมมือนี้ไม่เพียงช่วยส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างขอนแก่นและนครหลวงเวียงจันทน์ แต่ยังสร้างโอกาสในการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ซึ่งจะนำไปสู่การยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชนในภูมิภาคและเสริมสร้างความแข็งแกร่งให้กับประชาคมอาเซียนในอนาคต

孔敬与万象讨论加强医疗、教育和可持续发展领域的合作

2025年01月24日，位于孔敬大学地方行政学院的乌东坦提松会议室举行了热烈的欢迎仪式，欢迎老挝首都万象市市长阿萨潘西潘通阁下及其代表团正式访问孔敬省。孔敬大学医学院国际事务与企业沟通副院长塔拉特桑万萨克副教授参加并表示热烈欢迎。

此次访问标志着在孔敬省与老挝万象市之间的合作备忘录（MOU）框架下迈出了重要的一步。孔敬大学在推动医疗和公共卫生合作方面发挥着重要作用，医学院与老挝的公共卫生部门紧密合作，共同提升边境地区人民的健康护理能力，并促进医疗知识与人员的交流。

此外，代表团还讨论了多个合作领域，包括教育提升、农业与环境、经济发展与投资、智慧城市建设以及地方公共管理。这一合作不仅促进了孔敬与万象之间的良好关系，还创造了可持续发展的机会，最终改善地区人民的生活质量，并增强未来东盟共同体的力量。

Khon Kaen, Thailand – On January 15, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University (KKU) played host to a distinguished delegation from the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH), South Korea. This landmark visit signifies a pivotal step in advancing healthcare collaboration and education across Southeast Asia.

The delegation, led by Dr. Somchay Latsavong, Vice President of UHS, included esteemed experts such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alongkone Phengsavanh, Dr. Sourideth Sengchanh, Dr. Somchit Vorachit, and Prof. Hyun Bae Yoon, alongside Miss Ines Yejin Song from SNUH. The group was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Pattarapong Makarawate, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and senior university executives.

KKU is currently hosting an intensive training program for ten specialized medical professionals from Laos, covering a range of advanced disciplines:

ขอนแก่น – วันที่ 15 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2568 – คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (มข.) ได้ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนระดับนานาชาติจากมหาวิทยาลัยวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว (UHS-Laos) และโรงพยาบาลมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติโซล (Seoul National University Hospital) ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ ในโอกาสสำคัญที่สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นร่วมกันในการยกระดับมาตรฐานการแพทย์และการดูแลสุขภาพในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

on January 9, 2024. This visit marks a significant step forward in strengthening collaborative efforts to develop medical innovations and address global health challenges.

A Partnership Driving Global Innovation

This collaboration stems from a relationship initiated in November 2024, when Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, and Associate Professor Pattarapong Makarawate, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, visited Heidelberg University. The visit aimed to discuss and develop partnerships in impactful medical research and innovation on an international scale.

During that meeting, the foundations were laid for global research projects such as PANDA (Preventing Pandemic Risk by Improving Pandemic Literacy), focusing on enhancing pandemic preparedness through improving knowledge about pandemic risks among frontline communities in Southeast Asia. The project emphasizes studying the systematic interactions between human behavior, animals, and the environment that may lead to zoonotic disease transmission. The PANDA project incorporates a multidisciplinary approach, including in-depth interviews, community mapping, and risk assessment tools. The study is conducted in northern Thai-Lao border communities and funded by the Volkswagen Foundation, Germany.

Strengthening Ties Through Collaborative Dialogue

The delegation’s visit to Khon Kaen University included a warm reception by Associate Professor Pattarapong Makarawate, who emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “Our partnership will not only create positive health impacts but also elevate our research and innovations to the forefront of global medical advancements.”

The Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University (KKU), Thailand, is set to break new ground in radiologic technology through an innovative collaboration with Dongseo University, South Korea. Under the visionary “Artificial Intelligence in Digital Radiology” program, this groundbreaking partnership will unfold from December 23 to 27, 2024, as part of the Global Experiential Learning Site (GELS) initiative.

A Partnership Aimed at Global Advancement

Led by Professor Yongsu Yoon, Ph.D., Head of Radiologic Science at Dongseo University, this collaboration brings together an esteemed delegation of academics and students at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. Their mission? To exchange expertise and explore cutting-edge research and education opportunities with KKU’s faculty and students, particularly in radiologic technology.

This alliance marks a pivotal step in integrating AI-driven innovations into medical imaging to reduce diagnostic errors, enhance treatment precision, and streamline healthcare services.

Transformative Activities and Knowledge Exchange

The program’s highlights include:

• Lectures on Digital Image Processing with AI, introducing faculty and students to advanced medical imaging techniques.
• Hands-on AI Programming and Modeling Workshops, empowering participants to build and apply AI tools in radiologic practices.
• Site visits to KKU’s Diagnostic Radiology, Radiotherapy, and Nuclear Medicine units, fostering deeper research collaborations and curriculum development.

On December 24, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Pattarapong Makarawate, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, KKU, will officially welcome the Dongseo delegation. This partnership builds on an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between KKU and the College of Bio-health Convergence at Dongseo University. Together, they aim to advance education and research in biomedical sciences and radiologic technology, pushing the boundaries of innovation on a global scale.

泰国孔敬大学医学院（KKU）与韩国东硕大学（Dongseo University）携手合作，开创放射技术领域的新篇章。此次合作以**“人工智能在数字放射学中的应用”为主题，是全球体验式学习基地（GELS）计划的重要组成部分，将于2024年12月23日至27日**在孔敬大学展开。

开拓全球放射学新领域

在东硕大学放射科学系主任黄承修教授（Ph.D.）的带领下，此次合作汇聚了本科生、硕士生和博士生代表，与孔敬大学的教职工和学生开展深入交流，共同探索放射科学领域的前沿研究和教学实践。

คณะแพทย์ มข. จับมือมหาวิทยาลัยเกาหลี ดัน AI พลิกโฉมรังสีวิทยาสู่ระดับโลก

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (มข.) เตรียมสร้างปรากฏการณ์ใหม่ในวงการรังสีวิทยาด้วยการจับมือกับมหาวิทยาลัย Dongseo ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ ในโครงการความร่วมมือสุดล้ำ “ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ในรังสีวิทยาดิจิทัล” ภายใต้โครงการ Global Experiential Learning Site (GELS) ที่จะจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 23-27 ธันวาคม 2567 นี้

โครงการดังกล่าวมุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษาและการวิจัย นำโดย Professor Yongsu Yoon, Ph.D. หัวหน้าสาขาวิชารังสีวิทยา พร้อมคณะผู้แทนจากมหาวิทยาลัย Dongseo ที่รวมทั้งคณาจารย์และนักศึกษาในหลากหลายระดับ ตั้งแต่ปริญญาเอก ปริญญาโท และปริญญาตรี เพื่อร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และประสบการณ์กับคณาจารย์และนักศึกษาของ มข.

กิจกรรมสำคัญในโครงการ

ภายในกิจกรรมจะมีการบรรยายและการฝึกปฏิบัติในหัวข้อที่ทันสมัย อาทิ “การประมวลผลภาพดิจิทัลด้วย AI” และ “การเขียนโปรแกรมและการสร้างแบบจำลอง AI” โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะด้านเทคโนโลยีล้ำสมัยให้กับนักศึกษาและบุคลากรไทย นอกจากนี้ คณะเยือนจะได้เข้าศึกษาดูงานในหน่วยงานสำคัญ เช่น รังสีวินิจฉัย การบำบัดด้วยรังสี และเวชศาสตร์นิวเคลียร์
