Khon Kaen, July 4, 2025 – The International Relations Officer, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, hosted a presentation and experience-sharing ceremony for four international doctors and medical students who successfully completed their clinical training and observerships in various specialties at the Faculty. This marks a significant achievement in fostering international medical collaboration.
The individuals who completed their training and observerships are:
- Phoukhao KENTHAVONG from Lao PDR, who successfully completed the Higher Graduate Diploma Program in Psychiatry. This program has enhanced his specialized knowledge and skills in mental health care.
- Amphay KHOUNTHEP from Lao PDR, who successfully completed the Fellowship Training in Rheumatology at the Division of Internal Medicine. This expertise in rheumatology will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of treatment in his home country.
- Patricio Angel Six, a 5th-year medical student from the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, who successfully completed his observership and exchange program with the Neurosurgery Division and the Department of Anesthesiology. He gained valuable insights into brain and spinal cord surgical techniques, as well as anesthesia management.
- Miss Katharine Eugster, a 5th-year medical student from the Joint Medical Master Program (University of St. Gallen and University of Zurich), Switzerland, who successfully completed her observership and exchange program with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She gained practical experience in women’s health and childbirth.
Throughout their training period, all four participants had the opportunity to learn and work alongside distinguished faculty members and expert personnel at the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University. They experienced the Thai healthcare system firsthand and exchanged academic knowledge with their peers, accumulating invaluable experiences that enhance their potential and understanding of diverse medical contexts.
During today’s experience-sharing session, one of the participants remarked, “The experience at the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, has not only provided us with profound academic knowledge but has also taught us the compassion essential for patient care, which is truly the heart of the medical profession.”

แพทย์และนักศึกษาแพทย์ต่างชาติสำเร็จการฝึกอบรมทางคลินิก ณ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น
ในวันที่ 4 กรกฎาคม 2568 งานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้จัดกิจกรรมการนำเสนอและแบ่งปันประสบการณ์สำหรับแพทย์และนักศึกษาแพทย์ชาวต่างชาติ 4 ท่าน ที่ได้สำเร็จหลักสูตรการฝึกอบรมและศึกษาดูงานทางคลินิกในสาขาต่าง ๆ ณ คณะฯ ซึ่งถือเป็นความสำเร็จครั้งสำคัญในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางการแพทย์ระหว่างประเทศ
ผู้ที่สำเร็จการฝึกอบอบรมและศึกษาดูงานในครั้งนี้ประกอบด้วย:
- Phoukhao KENTHAVONG จาก สปป. ลาว สำเร็จหลักสูตรประกาศนียบัตรชั้นสูงฯ สาขาวิชาจิตเวชศาสตร์ ซึ่งเป็นการเพิ่มพูนความรู้และทักษะเฉพาะทางในการดูแลผู้ป่วยด้านสุขภาพจิต
- Amphay KHOUNTHEP จาก สปป. ลาว สำเร็จหลักสูตร Fellowship Training in Rheumatology ณ สาขาวิชาอายุรศาสตร์ ซึ่งจะนำความเชี่ยวชาญด้านโรคข้อและรูมาติสซึมกลับไปพัฒนาการรักษาในประเทศบ้านเกิด
- Patricio Angel Six นักศึกษาแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 5 จาก Medical University of Vienna ประเทศออสเตรีย สำเร็จการศึกษาดูงานและแลกเปลี่ยนจาก หน่วยประสาทศัลยศาสตร์ และสาขาวิชาวิสัญญีวิทยา ซึ่งได้เรียนรู้เทคนิคการผ่าตัดสมองและไขสันหลัง รวมถึงการบริหารจัดการการดมยาสลบ
- Miss Katharine Eugster นักศึกษาแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 5 จาก Joint Medical Master Program (University of St. Gallen and University of Zurich) ประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ สำเร็จการศึกษาดูงานและแลกเปลี่ยนจากสาขาวิชาสูติศาสตร์และนรีเวชวิทยา ซึ่งได้สัมผัสประสบการณ์จริงในการดูแลสุขภาพสตรีและการทำคลอด
ตลอดระยะเวลาการฝึกอบรม ผู้เข้าร่วมทั้งสี่ได้มีโอกาสเรียนรู้และปฏิบัติงานร่วมกับคณาจารย์และบุคลากรผู้เชี่ยวชาญของคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้สัมผัสระบบสาธารณสุขของประเทศไทย และแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ทางวิชาการกับเพื่อนร่วมงาน ซึ่งเป็นประสบการณ์อันทรงคุณค่าที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างศักยภาพและความเข้าใจในบริบททางการแพทย์ที่หลากหลาย
ในการนำเสนอประสบการณ์วันนี้ หนึ่งในผู้สำเร็จการฝึกอบรมได้กล่าวว่า “ประสบการณ์ที่คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นแห่งนี้ ไม่ได้ให้เพียงความรู้ทางวิชาการที่ลึกซึ้งเท่านั้น แต่ยังสอนให้เราเข้าใจถึงความเมตตาในการดูแลผู้ป่วย ซึ่งเป็นหัวใจสำคัญของวิชาชีพแพทย์อย่างแท้จริง”
