In a significant move toward international transformation, the Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University (KKU) has welcomed radiologic technology students from Japan’s Fujita Health University for a month-long immersive exchange programme.
The initiative, which ran from 23 February to 20 March 2026, saw exchange students Miss Rii Sakata and Miss Yuzuna Tamai integrating into Thailand’s medical landscape to observe high-level diagnostic and therapeutic practices.
During their tenure, the students rotated through several key departments, including Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiotherapy. They expressed particular interest in Thailand’s clinical applications of:
- Mammography and Interventional Radiology procedures.
- MRI Simulation in radiotherapy, noting the high degree of precision it offers.
Reflecting on their time in the wards, the students highlighted the value of the clinical experience at KKU. They noted that the curriculum allows for direct interaction with patients and active participation in the clinical workflow, which helped them gain a deeper understanding of real-world medical practice.
The exchange extended beyond the sterile halls of the hospital. Sakata and Tamai participated in a community volunteer project in Ban Non Kho, Khon Kaen.
By engaging with local villagers, the students were introduced to the “service heart” of Thai healthcare, learning how cultural nuances and spiritual well-being play a vital role in community health—a perspective often missed in purely technical training.
Assistant Professor Dr. Woranan Kireesattayakul and Dr. Premkamon Chaipanichkul emphasised that this is more than just a visit. It is a strategic step in KKU’s mission to nurture a new generation of radiologic technologists capable of operating on a global stage.
As healthcare becomes increasingly interconnected, such partnerships between Thai and Japanese institutions serve as a blueprint for future international academic cooperation, aiming to drive the global public health system forward.
คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. เปิดบ้านรับนักศึกษาญี่ปุ่น แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์รังสีเทคนิค มุ่งขับเคลื่อนยุทธศาสตร์ความเป็นสากล
คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (มข.) เดินหน้าขับเคลื่อนยุทธศาสตร์ มุ่งสู่ความเป็นนานาชาติ (Internationalization Transformation) โดยล่าสุดได้ให้การต้อนรับ Miss Rii Sakata และ Miss Yuzuna Tamai นักศึกษารังสีเทคนิค จาก Fujita Health University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในโอกาสเข้าศึกษาดูงานและแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ ณ หลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชารังสีเทคนิค คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ระหว่างวันที่ 23 กุมภาพันธ์ ถึง 20 มีนาคม 2569
การศึกษาดูงานครั้งนี้นักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนได้เข้าสังเกตการณ์การทำงานจริงในโรงพยาบาลครอบคลุมหลากหลายแผนก ทั้งด้านรังสีวินิจฉัย เวชศาสตร์นิวเคลียร์ และรังสีรักษา โดยได้ศึกษาเทคโนโลยีการแพทย์ระดับมาตรฐานสากลของไทย ซึ่งสร้างความประทับใจเป็นอย่างมาก โดยเฉพาะในส่วนของงานแมมโมกราฟี (Mammography) และการทำหัตถการรังสีร่วมรักษา (Interventional Radiology) รวมถึงเทคโนโลยี MRI Simulation ในงานรังสีรักษาที่ช่วยเพิ่มความแม่นยำในการรักษา ซึ่งเป็นประสบการณ์ที่แตกต่างจากการศึกษาในประเทศญี่ปุ่น
นักศึกษา ได้สะท้อนมุมมองผ่านรายงานสรุปผลการฝึกปฏิบัติงานว่า ระบบการเรียนการสอนด้านรังสีเทคนิคของคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้มีส่วนร่วมในกระบวนการทำงานและมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับคนไข้ภายใต้การดูแลอย่างใกล้ชิด ซึ่งช่วยให้เข้าใจบริบทของการทำงานจริงได้ดียิ่งขึ้น นอกจากนี้ยังชื่นชมในความมีน้ำใจและบรรยากาศการเรียนรู้ร่วมกันระหว่างนักศึกษาทั้งสองสถาบัน
นอกจากนี้ นักศึกษาทั้งสองยังได้ร่วมกิจกรรมอาสาพัฒนาชุมชน ณ บ้านโนนค้อ อำเภอบ้านฝาง จังหวัดขอนแก่น เพื่อเรียนรู้การสื่อสารและสร้างความคุ้นเคยกับชาวบ้านในพื้นที่ ถือเป็นการเปิดมุมมองใหม่ในการดูแลสุขภาพผ่านมิติทางวัฒนธรรมและจิตวิญญาณบริการ ซึ่งเป็นหัวใจสำคัญของการทำงานด้านสาธารณสุข
โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการขยายเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ โดยมี ผศ.ดร.วรนันท์ คีรีสัตยกุล และ อ.ดร.เปรมกมล ชัยพาณิชย์กุล ร่วมให้คำแนะนำและดูแลนักศึกษาตลอดโครงการ เพื่อบ่มเพาะนักรังสีเทคนิครุ่นใหม่ให้มีความพร้อมในการทำงานในระดับสากลและร่วมขับเคลื่อนระบบสาธารณสุขโลกต่อไปในอนาคต
