The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, through its Division of Research and Innovation, organized the “Capacity Development Training Program to Enhance Researchers’ Competencies for International Advancement” from 8–11 December 2025. The program was honored by the participation of Dr. Katharine Morley and Dr. Michael Morley, distinguished experts from Harvard Medical School, USA, who served as distinguished speakers, sharing their expertise with staff, faculty members, researchers, and medical students, as well as other interested participants.

The program aimed to strengthen essential skills and knowledge for contemporary researchers, with a focus on enhancing competencies in research proposal development, international research grant applications, and the preparation and publication of research articles in internationally recognized academic journals. Over the four-day program, activities were conducted through a combination of academic lectures, hands-on workshops, and intensive knowledge and experience exchange sessions.

On December 8, 2025, the program commenced with a Grant Writing Workshop, designed to enhance participants’ understanding of international research funding processes alongside the development of high-quality research proposal writing skills. Participants received in-depth guidance from the experts, enabling them to refine their proposals and improve the competitiveness of their research in the global arena.

The activities on December 9, 2025 featured meetings with academic departments, including the Department of Ophthalmology, the Department of Community, Family, and Occupational Medicine, and the Department of Biochemistry. Each department presented its ongoing research projects, followed by discussions exploring potential research collaborations integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. During these sessions, the Harvard Medical School experts provided strategic recommendations on strengthening research proposals and accessing international research funding opportunities.

On December 10, 2025, the program continued with the session titled “AI and Big Data for Research,” which focused on the application of artificial intelligence and big data in medical research. The session comprised expert lectures, sharing of research experiences, and brainstorming activities for research proposal development. Participants actively exchanged technical perspectives, innovative ideas, and practical approaches applicable to their research endeavors.

The final day, December 11, 2025, featured a lecture on “Concept of Manuscript Writing Using AI,” aimed at enhancing participants’ academic writing skills in alignment with international standards. The session emphasized the use of artificial intelligence to support the manuscript writing process, including content structuring, academic language refinement, and verification of data accuracy and coherence. In addition, the experts provided individualized consultations, fostering an intensive and constructive learning atmosphere that encouraged close academic exchange and practical application of knowledge.

The successful implementation of this program underscores the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University’s commitment to systematically developing researchers’ capacities while integrating artificial intelligence into medical research. This initiative enhances international academic competitiveness and supports the sustainable advancement of high-quality research with significant scholarly impact.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. จัดโครงการพัฒนาศักยภาพนักวิจัยสู่ระดับนานาชาติ ร่วมกับผู้เชี่ยวชาญจาก Harvard Medical School

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น โดยฝ่ายวิจัยและนวัตกรรม จัดโครงการ “Capacity Development Training Program to Enhance Researchers’ Competencies for International Advancement” (โครงการพัฒนาศักยภาพเพื่อยกระดับความสามารถของนักวิจัยสู่ความก้าวหน้าในระดับนานาชาติ) ระหว่างวันที่ 8–11 ธันวาคม 2568 โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก Dr. Katharine Morley และ Dr. Michael Morley ผู้เชี่ยวชาญจาก Harvard Medical School สหรัฐอเมริกา เป็นวิทยากรผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้แก่บุคลากร คณาจารย์ นักวิจัย และนักศึกษาคณะแพทยศาสตร์ ตลอดจนผู้ที่สนใจ

โครงการดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะและองค์ความรู้ที่จำเป็นสำหรับนักวิจัยในยุคปัจจุบัน มุ่งเน้นการยกระดับศักยภาพในการจัดทำข้อเสนอโครงการวิจัย การขอรับทุนวิจัยระดับนานาชาติ ตลอดจนการพัฒนาและตีพิมพ์ผลงานวิจัยในวารสารวิชาการระดับสากล โดยตลอดระยะเวลา 4 วัน กิจกรรมการอบรมดำเนินไปในรูปแบบการบรรยายเชิงวิชาการ การฝึกปฏิบัติ และการแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์อย่างเข้มข้น

ในวันที่ 8 ธันวาคม 2568 โครงการเริ่มต้นด้วยกิจกรรม Grant Writing Workshop ซึ่งมุ่งเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับกระบวนการขอรับทุนวิจัยระดับนานาชาติ ควบคู่กับการพัฒนาทักษะการเขียนข้อเสนอโครงการวิจัยที่มีคุณภาพ ผู้เข้าร่วมได้รับคำแนะนำเชิงลึกจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ เพื่อสามารถนำไปปรับปรุงข้อเสนอโครงการและยกระดับผลงานวิจัยให้มีศักยภาพในการแข่งขันในเวทีสากล

วันที่ 9 ธันวาคม 2568 เป็นกิจกรรมการประชุมหารือร่วมกับสาขาวิชา (Meetings with Departments) โดยมีการแลกเปลี่ยนกับสาขาวิชาจักษุวิทยา สาขาวิชาเวชศาสตร์ชุมชน เวชศาสตร์ครอบครัวและอาชีวเวชศาสตร์ และสาขาวิชาชีวเคมี ซึ่งแต่ละสาขาวิชาได้นำเสนอผลงานวิจัยที่อยู่ระหว่างดำเนินการ พร้อมทั้งร่วมกันสำรวจแนวทางการพัฒนาความร่วมมือด้านการวิจัยที่บูรณาการเทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) ในการนี้ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญจาก Harvard Medical School ได้ให้ข้อเสนอแนะเชิงกลยุทธ์เกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาข้อเสนอโครงการวิจัยและการเข้าถึงแหล่งทุนวิจัยระดับนานาชาติ

สำหรับวันที่ 10 ธันวาคม 2568 เป็นกิจกรรมในหัวข้อ AI and Big Data for Research ซึ่งเน้นการประยุกต์ใช้ปัญญาประดิษฐ์และข้อมูลขนาดใหญ่ในงานวิจัยทางการแพทย์ ผ่านการบรรยาย การแบ่งปันประสบการณ์วิจัยจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ และกิจกรรมระดมความคิดเพื่อพัฒนาข้อเสนอโครงการวิจัย โดยเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเชิงเทคนิค แนวคิดเชิงนวัตกรรม และแนวทางปฏิบัติที่สามารถนำไปใช้ได้จริง

กิจกรรมในวันสุดท้าย 11 ธันวาคม 2568 เป็นการบรรยายในหัวข้อ “Concept of Manuscript Writing Using AI” ซึ่งมุ่งยกระดับทักษะการเขียนบทความวิจัยเชิงวิชาการให้สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานสากล โดยเน้นการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์เพื่อสนับสนุนกระบวนการเขียนต้นฉบับ ตั้งแต่การวางโครงสร้างเนื้อหา การใช้ถ้อยคำเชิงวิชาการ การตรวจสอบความถูกต้องและความสอดคล้องของข้อมูล ตลอดจนการให้คำปรึกษาเชิงลึกเป็นรายบุคคล บรรยากาศการอบรมเป็นไปอย่างเข้มข้นและสร้างสรรค์ ส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้และการพัฒนางานวิจัยอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม

การจัดโครงการครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงบทบาทของคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในการมุ่งพัฒนาศักยภาพนักวิจัยอย่างเป็นระบบ ควบคู่กับการนำเทคโนโลยีปัญญาประดิษฐ์มาประยุกต์ใช้ในงานวิจัย เพื่อเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันทางวิชาการในระดับนานาชาติ และสนับสนุนการพัฒนางานวิจัยที่มีคุณภาพและผลกระทบเชิงวิชาการอย่างยั่งยืน
