KKU Professor becomes AOFGO V.P.

Professor Pisake LUMBUGANON, MD, MS (Penn), has been appointed Vice President of Asia & Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOCOG) from June 2017 to June 2019

Historical Background

Professor Pisake Lumbiganon, President of RTCOG, and a technical advisor of the Department of Reproductive Health and Research (RHR) of the World Health Organization (WHO) Headquarter in Geneva.
He was Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Thailand between 2011-2014.

 

 

Professor Pisake is a specialist on obstetrics and gynecology, working enthusiastically in various roles: clinician, teacher, supervisor, trainer, researcher, visiting professor to foreign universities, administrator as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, university council member, international committee member, and so on.  Also, Professor Pisake is involved with various WHO reproductive health research projects and is a regional editor of the WHO Reproductive Health Library.  As convenor of the Cochrane Thailand, he is actively involved in disseminating the concept of research synthesis in Southeast Asia by working closely with the Cochrane Collaboration.
