Assoc. Prof. Rit Apinyankul, a specialist in hip and knee arthroplasty from the Department of Orthopaedics, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, participated in the International Congress of the Korean Hip Society (ICKHS) 2026 as a representative of the Hip and Knee Society of Thailand (THKS). Held from 14–16 May 2026 in Busan, Republic of Korea, the congress brought together orthopedic surgeons, researchers, and hip specialists from leading institutions worldwide to exchange advances in hip surgery, clinical care, and musculoskeletal research.
At the congress, Assoc. Prof. Rit delivered a podium presentation entitled “The Thai ICOAP-Hip: Cross-Cultural Adaptation and Validation for Assessing Intermittent and Constant Pain in Hip Osteoarthritis.” The study developed and validated a Thai-language version of the internationally recognized ICOAP instrument under the OARSI/OMERACT framework, providing a standardized tool for assessing pain and monitoring treatment outcomes among Thai patients with hip osteoarthritis. The instrument expands the availability of validated patient-reported outcome measures for orthopedic research and clinical practice in Thailand.
The presentation introduced research developed at the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University to an international audience of hip specialists and provided opportunities for academic exchange with experts from leading orthopedic centers across Asia and beyond.
In addition, Assoc. Prof. Rit was selected for the Korean Hip Society Traveling Fellowship, a competitive academic exchange program that provides access to leading orthopedic institutions in the Republic of Korea. During the fellowship, he visited Chungnam National University, Daejeon Centum Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital, Kyung Hee University Hospital, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, and Eunpyeong St. Mary’s Hospital.
The fellowship included discussions with orthopedic surgeons and researchers on current developments in hip and knee reconstruction, surgical technologies, clinical outcomes, and future research directions. It also created opportunities for continued academic exchange and collaborative activities between orthopedic specialists in Thailand and the Republic of Korea.
Through both the congress and fellowship program, research developed at MDKKU reached a broader international audience while expanding professional networks with leading orthopedic institutions in Asia. These activities contribute to the advancement of orthopedic research, medical education, and patient care through international academic engagement.

อาจารย์แพทย์ มข. ร่วมเวทีผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านข้อสะโพกระดับนานาชาติ พร้อมต่อยอดความร่วมมือไทย–เกาหลีด้านออร์โธปิดิกส์
รองศาสตราจารย์ ฤทธิ์ อภิญญาณกุล อาจารย์และผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการผ่าตัดเปลี่ยนข้อสะโพกและข้อเข่า สาขาวิชาออร์โธปิดิกส์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในฐานะผู้แทนของสมาคมข้อสะโพกและข้อเข่าแห่งประเทศไทย (The Hip and Knee Society of Thailand: THKS) เข้าร่วมนำเสนอผลงานวิจัยในการประชุม International Congress of the Korean Hip Society (ICKHS) 2026 ระหว่างวันที่ 14–16 พฤษภาคม 2569 ณ เมืองปูซาน สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ซึ่งเป็นเวทีวิชาการนานาชาติที่รวบรวมนักวิจัยและศัลยแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านข้อสะโพกจากหลากหลายประเทศ
ในการนี้ รศ.นพ.ฤทธิ์ ได้นำเสนอผลงานวิจัยเรื่อง “The Thai ICOAP-Hip: Cross-Cultural Adaptation and Validation for Assessing Intermittent and Constant Pain in Hip Osteoarthritis” ซึ่งเป็นการพัฒนาแบบประเมินอาการปวดสำหรับผู้ป่วยโรคข้อสะโพกเสื่อมฉบับภาษาไทยจากเครื่องมือมาตรฐานสากล ICOAP ของ OARSI/OMERACT เพื่อสนับสนุนการประเมินอาการปวดและการติดตามผลการรักษาผู้ป่วยโรคข้อสะโพกเสื่อมในประเทศไทย
การนำเสนอผลงานในเวที ICKHS 2026 เปิดโอกาสให้องค์ความรู้ที่พัฒนาขึ้นในประเทศไทยได้เผยแพร่สู่เครือข่ายผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านข้อสะโพกจากนานาประเทศ พร้อมทั้งแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ทางวิชาการและแนวทางการรักษาร่วมกับผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากสถาบันชั้นนำของโลก อันเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการต่อยอดงานวิจัยและความร่วมมือทางวิชาการด้านออร์โธปิดิกส์ในอนาคต
นอกจากนี้ รศ.นพ.ฤทธิ์ ยังได้รับคัดเลือกเข้าร่วมโครงการ Korean Hip Society Traveling Fellowship เพื่อศึกษาดูงานและแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ทางวิชาการกับสถาบันชั้นนำด้านออร์โธปิดิกส์ของสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี จำนวน 6 แห่ง ได้แก่ Chungnam National University, Daejeon Centum Hospital, Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH), Kyung Hee University Hospital, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital และ Eunpyeong St. Mary’s Hospital
ตลอดโครงการดังกล่าว รศ.นพ.ฤทธิ์ ได้เข้าศึกษาแนวทางการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วย เทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์ และนวัตกรรมด้านการผ่าตัดข้อสะโพกและข้อเข่าจากสถาบันชั้นนำของเกาหลี พร้อมทั้งแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ทางวิชาการกับคณาจารย์และศัลยแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ซึ่งช่วยเปิดโอกาสสู่ความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการวิจัยระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐเกาหลีในอนาคต
การได้รับคัดเลือกเป็นผู้แทนประเทศไทยเพื่อนำเสนอผลงานวิจัยและเข้าร่วม Korean Hip Society Traveling Fellowship ในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งความสำเร็จของคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในการนำองค์ความรู้และผลงานวิจัยที่พัฒนาขึ้นในประเทศไทยสู่เวทีวิชาการนานาชาติ พร้อมทั้งสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือกับสถาบันและผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านออร์โธปิดิกส์ระดับนานาชาติ อันจะนำไปสู่การต่อยอดงานวิจัยและการพัฒนาคุณภาพการดูแลผู้ป่วยของประเทศต่อไป
