MDKKU Welcomes Top-Tier Philippine Medical Students for AMSEP 2026, Fostering Regional Healthcare Networks

 

The Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University (MDKKU), through the Medical Student Union and the Student Development Affairs, officially launched the Asian Medical Students’ Exchange Program 2026 (AMSEP 2026). Running from June 8 to 14, 2026, the short-term academic and cultural initiative hosts 11 exceptional medical student delegates from three of the Philippines’ premier medical institutions, aiming to cultivate a global mindset and strengthen healthcare collaboration within the ASEAN region.

 

 

Prof. Praew Kotruchin, Vice Dean for Student Development, welcomed the delegates representing the University of Santo Tomas (UST), the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay (UERM), and the Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM).

“This exchange program serves as a vital catalyst for international collaboration,” said Prof. Praew Kotruchin. “It offers a golden opportunity for future physicians from both nations to co-create and share knowledge across public health systems, clinical medicine, and cultural diversity, ultimately building a resilient medical network for the future.”

 

 

To provide comprehensive professional development, MDKKU has curated an intensive, experiential learning itinerary throughout the week, featuring:

  • Clinical Observations: Targeted study tours across Srinagarind Hospital’s specialized medical centers and outpatient wards.
  • Healthcare System Analysis: An inside look at primary healthcare services—a core strength of local healthcare system management in Northeast Thailand.
  • Practical Training: Standardized clinical simulations at the Medical Skills Laboratory, complemented by community-based innovation activities and cultural exchanges alongside KKU medical students.

The 11 visiting medical student delegates include:

  • University of Santo Tomas (UST): Mr. Yñigo Ortilla Mallari, Mr. Glendo Vailoces Mendiola Jr., Mr. Amhir Adrian Chin Paquital, Mr. Gabriel Gutierrez De Ungria, Miss Jelica Rose Ellasus Buada, Miss Nicole Mallari Delos Santos, Miss Stefanie Gatchalian Encarnacion, and Miss Ninna Andrea Acosta Cornelio.
  • University of the East Ramon Magsaysay (UERM): Miss Kathleen Joyce Marasigan Landicho and Miss Gail Dela Torres Labay.
  • Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM): Miss Marion Joyce Melencion Calape.

 

 

 

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. เปิดบ้านต้อนรับผู้แทนนักศึกษาแพทย์ฟิลิปปินส์ 3 สถาบันชั้นนำ ขับเคลื่อนเครือข่ายสาธารณสุขอาเซียนในโครงการ AMSEP 2026

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (MDKKU) โดยสโมสรนักศึกษาแพทย์ ร่วมกับฝ่ายพัฒนานักศึกษา เปิดโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนวิชาการและวัฒนธรรมระยะสั้น Asian Medical Students’ Exchange Program 2026 (AMSEP 2026) ต้อนรับผู้แทนนักศึกษาแพทย์ผู้มีศักยภาพโดดเด่นจำนวน 11 คน จากมหาวิทยาลัยการแพทย์ชั้นนำ 3 แห่งของสาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์ ระหว่างวันที่ 8 – 14 มิถุนายน 2569 เพื่อมุ่งสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางการแพทย์และหล่อหลอมทัศนคติแพทย์ระดับสากล (Global Mindset) ในภูมิภาคอาเซียน

ศาสตราจารย์ แพทย์หญิงแพรว โคตรรุฉิน รองคณบดีฝ่ายพัฒนานักศึกษา ได้กล่าวต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนนักศึกษาแพทย์จากสถาบันพันธมิตร ได้แก่ University of Santo Tomas (UST), University of the East Ramon Magsaysay (UERM) และ Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM)

ศ.พญ.แพรว โคตรรุฉิน เปิดเผยว่า โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนนี้เป็นกลไกสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ ซึ่งเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาแพทย์ได้ร่วมกันแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้เชิงลึก ทั้งในด้านระบบบริการสาธารณสุข การแพทย์เชิงคลินิก ตลอดจนการเรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมที่แตกต่าง เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมสู่การเป็นบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ในอนาคต

ตลอดสัปดาห์ของโครงการ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ได้จัดโปรแกรมการศึกษาดูงานและการฝึกปฏิบัติการเพื่อเสริมสร้างประสบการณ์จริงอย่างเข้มข้น ครอบคลุมกิจกรรมสำคัญดังนี้:

  • การศึกษาดูงานชั้นคลินิก (Clinical Observation): ณ แผนกผู้ป่วยนอก โรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์
  • การศึกษาระระบบตติยภูมิและปฐมภูมิ (Healthcare Systems): เจาะลึกระบบบริการสาธารณสุขระดับปฐมภูมิซึ่งเป็นจุดแข็งของการจัดการสาธารณสุขในพื้นที่
  • การฝึกทักษะทางการแพทย์ (Medical Skills Laboratory): ร่วมฝึกปฏิบัติการในห้องปฏิบัติการทักษะทางการแพทย์ ควบคู่ไปกับกิจกรรมแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมและนวัตกรรมชุมชนร่วมกับนักศึกษาแพทย์ มข.
