The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (MDKKU), strengthened its global academic network by welcoming Ms. Sola Kim, a medical student from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, for a clinical elective in Trauma Surgery. This initiative is a key component of the university’s Internationalization strategy, fostering cross-border professional exchange.
The elective provided comprehensive clinical exposure to a systematic approach to trauma care across different healthcare levels:
- Primary and Secondary Care: Observed trauma systems and basic surgical interventions at the Trauma and Critical Care Center, Khon Kaen Hospital.
- Complex Tertiary Care: Gained insights into the referral system and the management of high-complexity trauma cases at the Trauma Surgery Unit, Srinagarind Hospital (MDKKU), utilizing advanced medical technology and expert multidisciplinary teams.
This program served as a vital platform for knowledge exchange between Thailand and the United Kingdom, reflecting the internationally recognized standards of Thai medical education and healthcare services while further strengthening the partnership between MDKKU and leading British academic institutions.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ต้อนรับนักศึกษาแพทย์จาก University of Leicester สหราชอาณาจักร ศึกษาดูงานด้านศัลยศาสตร์อุบัติเหตุระดับภูมิภาค
คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (MDKKU) ตอกย้ำความสำเร็จตามยุทธศาสตร์ความเป็นนานาชาติ (Internationalization) โดยต้อนรับ Ms. Sola Kim นักศึกษาแพทย์จาก University of Leicester สหราชอาณาจักร ในโอกาสเข้าศึกษาดูงานแลกเปลี่ยนทางคลินิก (Clinical Elective) ด้านศัลยศาสตร์อุบัติเหตุ (Trauma Surgery) ระหว่างวันที่ 20 เมษายน – 29 พฤษภาคม 2569
การดูงานครั้งนี้ได้รับการออกแบบเพื่อให้เกิดการเรียนรู้ในสภาพแวดล้อมจริงที่มีความหลากหลาย (Comprehensive Clinical Exposure) ครอบคลุมเส้นทางการดูแลผู้ป่วยอุบัติเหตุอย่างเป็นระบบ:
- ระดับปฐมภูมิและทุติยภูมิ: ศึกษาดูงานระบบการบริหารจัดการผู้ป่วยอุบัติเหตุ (Trauma System) และการศัลยกรรมเบื้องต้น ณ ศูนย์อุบัติเหตุและวิกฤตบำบัด โรงพยาบาลขอนแก่น
- ระดับตติยภูมิซับซ้อน: สังเกตการณ์กระบวนการดูแลผู้ป่วยส่งต่อ (Referral System) ในเคสที่มีความยากและซับซ้อนสูง ณ หน่วยศัลยศาสตร์อุบัติเหตุ สาขาวิชาศัลยศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. (โรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์)
กิจกรรมนี้ไม่เพียงแต่เป็นเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ (Knowledge Exchange) ระหว่างไทยและสหราชอาณาจักร แต่ยังสะท้อนถึงมาตรฐานการเรียนการสอนและบริการทางการแพทย์ของไทยที่เป็นที่ยอมรับในระดับสากล พร้อมทั้งช่วยกระชับความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษาของทั้งสองประเทศอย่างยั่งยืน
孔敬大学医学院欢迎英国莱斯特大学医学生，开展创伤外科临床选修交流
孔敬大学医学院（MDKKU）持续推动国际化战略，近日欢迎来自英国莱斯特大学（University of Leicester）的医学生 Ms. Sola Kim 参加创伤外科临床选修项目（Clinical Elective）。此次活动旨在通过跨境临床实践，促进国际医学教育资源共享。
本次观摩学习采用了全方位的临床实践模式，系统涵盖了创伤救治体系的各个层级：
- 初级与次级医疗层级： 在孔敬医院创伤与重症监护中心学习创伤医疗体系运作及基础创伤外科处理。
- 高难度三级医疗层级： 在孔敬大学医学院附属诗纳卡琳医院（Srinagarind Hospital）创伤外科单位观摩高难度复杂病例的综合诊疗及转诊体系。
此次交流不仅为国际医学生提供了拓展学术视野的平台，也深化了孔敬大学医学院与英国高等教育机构的合作关系，充分展现了泰国医学教育与临床服务已达到国际公认的高标准。
