Khon Kaen University (KKU) has achieved a remarkable milestone in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, rising from the 601–800 global band in 2025 to 57^th in the world and 4^th among Thai universities for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3).

The THE Sustainability Impact Ratings, announced on 24 June 2026, evaluated 1,254 universities from 106 countries and territories to recognize institutions making outstanding contributions to improving global health through research, education, healthcare services, and community engagement.

This significant advancement reflects KKU’s continued commitment to improving health and well-being through impactful research, high-quality education, innovation, and sustainable engagement with society. The achievement also highlights the collective efforts of faculties and academic units across the University in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As one of KKU’s leading health sciences faculties, the Faculty of Medicine is proud to contribute to this international recognition through its integrated missions in medical education, research, patient care, and academic services. The Faculty is committed to producing competent and socially responsible medical graduates, conducting research that addresses pressing health challenges, delivering high-quality tertiary healthcare, and strengthening community health through collaborative partnerships at the local, national, and international levels.

The Faculty of Medicine also plays a key role in supporting KKU’s vision of becoming a globally recognized research and innovation university by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, translating research into healthcare improvements, and fostering sustainable solutions that enhance the health and well-being of communities.

KKU’s rise to 57^th in the world for SDG 3 reflects the University’s growing international reputation and demonstrates how collaborative efforts across its faculties, particularly in the health sciences, continue to create meaningful and lasting impacts on people’s lives. มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นก้าวสู่อันดับ 57 ของโลก และอันดับ 4 ของประเทศไทย ด้าน SDG 3: สุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี

มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นสร้างความภาคภูมิใจบนเวทีระดับนานาชาติ ด้วยการได้รับการจัดอันดับ 57 ของโลก และ อันดับ 4 ของประเทศไทย ในการจัดอันดับเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนข้อที่ 3 (SDG 3) ด้านสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี จาก Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 ซึ่งประกาศผลเมื่อวันที่ 24 มิถุนายน 2569 นับเป็นความก้าวหน้าอย่างโดดเด่นจากการจัดอันดับในปี 2568 ที่มหาวิทยาลัยอยู่ในกลุ่มอันดับ 601–800 ของโลก

การจัดอันดับในครั้งนี้ครอบคลุมการประเมินมหาวิทยาลัยจำนวน 1,254 แห่ง จาก 106 ประเทศและดินแดนทั่วโลก โดยพิจารณาบทบาทของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในการสนับสนุนการบรรลุเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน เป้าหมายที่ 3 (SDG 3) ซึ่งมุ่งส่งเสริมการมีสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี ผ่านการดำเนินงานด้านการศึกษา การวิจัย การให้บริการสุขภาพ และการสร้างความร่วมมือกับชุมชน อาทิ การส่งเสริมหลักประกันสุขภาพถ้วนหน้า การป้องกันโรค การดูแลสุขภาพกายและสุขภาพจิต ตลอดจนการพัฒนาสุขภาวะของชุมชนอย่างยั่งยืน

ความสำเร็จในครั้งนี้สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นในการสร้างองค์ความรู้ นวัตกรรม และการบริการที่ตอบสนองต่อความท้าทายด้านสุขภาพของสังคม พร้อมทั้งแสดงให้เห็นถึงความร่วมมือของทุกคณะและหน่วยงานในการขับเคลื่อนเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนขององค์การสหประชาชาติ

The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University has been awarded the 2026 ASPIRE Award for Excellence in Social Accountability, presented by the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE).

The ASPIRE Awards recognize excellence in health professions education worldwide, highlighting institutions that demonstrate outstanding educational practices, innovation, and leadership across key areas of medical education.

The Excellence in Social Accountability category recognizes institutions that align their education, research, and service with the priority health needs of the communities they serve, with a strong commitment to improving health outcomes through socially responsive medical education.

This recognition reflects the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University’s continued commitment to socially accountable education through community engagement, impactful research, and high-quality healthcare services. It also reinforces the Faculty’s role as a leading institution dedicated to advancing medical education that contributes meaningfully to society.

This achievement marks another important milestone for the Faculty and strengthens its international reputation in health professions education.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้รับรางวัล ASPIRE Award for Excellence in Social Accountability ประจำปี 2026 

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้รับรางวัล ASPIRE Award for Excellence in Social Accountability ประจำปี 2026 จาก Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE)

รางวัล ASPIRE เป็นรางวัลที่ยกย่องความเป็นเลิศด้านการศึกษาวิชาชีพสุขภาพในระดับนานาชาติ โดยมุ่งเน้นสถาบันที่มีการจัดการเรียนการสอนที่มีคุณภาพสูง มีนวัตกรรมทางการศึกษา และมีความเป็นผู้นำในสาขาแพทยศาสตรศึกษา

รางวัลในสาขา Excellence in Social Accountability (ความเป็นเลิศด้านความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม) เป็นการยกย่องสถาบันที่สามารถบูรณาการการเรียนการสอน การวิจัย และการบริการสุขภาพ ให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการด้านสุขภาพของชุมชน โดยมุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาและผลลัพธ์ทางสุขภาพของประชาชนอย่างยั่งยืน

The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, proudly congratulates Professor Naesinee Chaiear of the Department of Community, Family and Occupational Medicine on her recent appointments to two distinguished international positions in the field of occupational medicine and occupational health.

Professor Chaiear has been appointed as a member of the Editorial Board of Safety and Health at Work (SH@W), an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research and knowledge in occupational health and safety. The journal serves as an important platform for the dissemination of scientific evidence and innovations aimed at improving workers’ health, preventing occupational diseases and injuries, and promoting safe and healthy workplaces worldwide.

In addition, she has been appointed Vice President of the South East Asian Occupational and Environmental Medicine Network (SEA OEMNet), a regional professional network that fosters collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional development among occupational medicine practitioners and researchers across Southeast Asia.

These appointments reflect Professor Chaiear’s longstanding contributions to occupational medicine, occupational health research, and regional professional development. They also underscore the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University’s growing international recognition and commitment to advancing academic excellence and global collaboration in occupational health and related disciplines.

ศาสตราจารย์เนสินี ไชยเอีย รับบทบาทผู้นำในองค์กรวิชาการระดับนานาชาติด้านอาชีวเวชศาสตร์

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ขอแสดงความยินดีกับ ศาสตราจารย์ เนสินี ไชยเอีย สาขาวิชาเวชศาสตร์ชุมชน เวชศาสตร์ครอบครัวและอาชีวเวชศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ในโอกาสได้รับการแต่งตั้งให้ดำรงตำแหน่งสำคัญในองค์กรวิชาการระดับนานาชาติด้านอาชีวเวชศาสตร์และอาชีวอนามัย สะท้อนถึงบทบาทความเป็นผู้นำทางวิชาการและการได้รับการยอมรับในระดับสากล

ศาสตราจารย์ เนสินี ได้รับการแต่งตั้งเป็น กรรมการกองบรรณาธิการ (Editorial Board Member) ของวารสาร Safety and Health at Work (SH@W) ซึ่งเป็นวารสารวิชาการนานาชาติที่ผ่านการประเมินคุณภาพโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ (peer-reviewed journal) และเป็นเวทีสำคัญในการเผยแพร่องค์ความรู้และผลงานวิจัยด้านอาชีวอนามัยและความปลอดภัยในการทำงาน เพื่อส่งเสริมสุขภาพ ความปลอดภัย และคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ปฏิบัติงานทั่วโลก

นอกจากนี้ ยังได้รับการแต่งตั้งให้ดำรงตำแหน่ง รองประธานเครือข่ายอาชีวเวชศาสตร์และเวชศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อมแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (South East Asian Occupational and Environmental Medicine Network: SEA OEMNet) ซึ่งเป็นเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางวิชาการที่ส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ การพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากร และความร่วมมือด้านอาชีวเวชศาสตร์ในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, proudly congratulates Professor Pisake Lumbiganon, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, on being awarded the prestigious title of Honorary Fellow of the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Honorary FISOG) by the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (POGI).

The conferment was unanimously approved by the Executive Board of POGI in recognition of Professor Lumbiganon’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of obstetrics and gynecology, maternal and perinatal health, scientific research, professional education, and international collaboration. Honorary FISOG represents the highest professional distinction bestowed by POGI upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, scholarship, and service to women’s health on a global scale.

According to POGI, Honorary FISOG is reserved for eminent individuals whose contributions have achieved international distinction and have significantly advanced the science and practice of obstetrics and gynecology worldwide. Recipients are recognized for upholding the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and academic excellence while making lasting impacts on healthcare systems and women’s health.

Professor Lumbiganon was recognized for his pioneering work in evidence-based obstetrics, maternal and perinatal health research, international guideline development, and scientific capacity building. His contributions have substantially influenced clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare policy across the world.

POGI also highlighted his distinguished leadership roles, including serving as President of the Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and President of the Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOFOG). Through these positions, he played a pivotal role in strengthening regional cooperation, academic exchange, and professional development among obstetrics and gynecology communities throughout Asia and Oceania.

In addition, Professor Lumbiganon’s extensive involvement in international research collaborations, including his work with the World Health Organization and multicenter clinical research networks, has contributed significantly to improving maternal health outcomes and advancing evidence-based healthcare globally. His commitment to mentoring future leaders and promoting the translation of scientific evidence into clinical practice has further strengthened the global obstetrics and gynecology community.

The Honorary FISOG award will be formally conferred during the Opening Ceremony of the 28th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (PIT POGI 2026), scheduled to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 20 July 2026.

This distinguished recognition reflects Professor Lumbiganon’s lifelong dedication to advancing women’s health, scientific excellence, and international professional collaboration. It also serves as a source of pride for the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and Thailand’s medical community, highlighting their continued contributions to improving healthcare and promoting academic leadership on the global stage.

ศ.นพ.ภิเศก ลุมพิกานนท์ รับเกียรติยศสูงสุด Honorary FISOG จากสมาคมสูตินรีแพทย์แห่งอินโดนีเซีย

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ขอแสดงความยินดีและร่วมภาคภูมิใจในโอกาสที่ ศาสตราจารย์ นพ.ภิเศก ลุมพิกานนท์ อาจารย์ประจำสาขาวิชาสูติศาสตร์และนรีเวชวิทยา คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้รับการประกาศเกียรติคุณให้ดำรงตำแหน่ง Honorary Fellow of the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Honorary FISOG) จากสมาคมสูตินรีแพทย์แห่งประเทศอินโดนีเซีย (Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology: POGI)

รางวัล Honorary FISOG ถือเป็นเกียรติยศวิชาชีพสูงสุดที่ POGI มอบให้แก่สูตินรีแพทย์และนักวิชาการที่มีผลงานโดดเด่นเป็นที่ยอมรับในระดับนานาชาติ และมีคุณูปการสำคัญต่อการพัฒนาสุขภาพสตรี องค์ความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ แพทยศาสตรศึกษา ตลอดจนการพัฒนาองค์กรวิชาชีพด้านสูติศาสตร์และนรีเวชวิทยา

คณะกรรมการบริหารของ POGI ได้มีมติเป็นเอกฉันท์ในการมอบเกียรติยศดังกล่าว เพื่อยกย่องผลงานอันโดดเด่นของ ศ.นพ.ภิเศก ลุมพิกานนท์ ในฐานะนักวิชาการที่ได้รับการยอมรับอย่างกว้างขวางในระดับภูมิภาคเอเชีย–โอเชียเนียและระดับโลก โดยเฉพาะการบุกเบิกงานวิจัยด้านสูติศาสตร์เชิงประจักษ์ (Evidence-based Obstetrics) การวิจัยด้านสุขภาพมารดาและทารกปริกำเนิด การพัฒนาแนวทางเวชปฏิบัติสากล ตลอดจนการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพด้านการวิจัยและวิชาการแก่บุคลากรทางการแพทย์ในหลายประเทศ

นอกจากนี้ POGI ยังได้ยกย่องบทบาทความเป็นผู้นำของ ศ.นพ.ภิเศก ในฐานะอดีตประธานราชวิทยาลัยสูตินรีแพทย์แห่งประเทศไทย อดีตประธานสหพันธ์สูตินรีแพทย์แห่งเอเชียและโอเชียเนีย (Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology: AOFOG) ตลอดจนการมีส่วนร่วมในโครงการวิจัยและความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระดับนานาชาติร่วมกับองค์การอนามัยโลกและเครือข่ายวิจัยระดับโลก ซึ่งมีส่วนสำคัญในการยกระดับคุณภาพการดูแลสุขภาพมารดาและสตรีทั่วโลก

ด้วยผลงานด้านการวิจัยทางคลินิกแบบพหุสถาบัน การสังเคราะห์หลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ การพัฒนาแนวทางเวชปฏิบัติ และการผลักดันองค์ความรู้สู่การนำไปใช้จริงในระบบสุขภาพ ตลอดจนการอุทิศตนในการพัฒนานักวิจัยและผู้นำรุ่นใหม่ ศ. นพ. ภิเศก จึงได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็นหนึ่งในบุคคลสำคัญที่สร้างคุณูปการอย่างยั่งยืนต่อวงการสูติศาสตร์และนรีเวชวิทยาของโลก

พิธีมอบเกียรติยศ Honorary FISOG มีกำหนดจัดขึ้นในพิธีเปิดการประชุมวิชาการประจำปีครั้งที่ 28 ของสมาคมสูตินรีแพทย์แห่งประเทศอินโดนีเซีย (28^th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology: PIT POGI 2026) ณ กรุงจาการ์ตา สาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย ในวันที่ 20 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2569

การได้รับเกียรติยศอันทรงคุณค่านี้สะท้อนถึงความเป็นเลิศด้านวิชาการ ความเป็นผู้นำในระดับนานาชาติ และความมุ่งมั่นตลอดชีวิตในการพัฒนาสุขภาพสตรีของ ศ.นพ.ภิเศก ลุมพิกานนท์ อีกทั้งยังสร้างชื่อเสียงและความภาคภูมิใจให้แก่คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และวงการแพทย์ไทยในเวทีโลกอย่างยิ่ง
