On 14 November 2025, three fifth-year medical students from St. Marianna University, Japan, successfully completed an academic exchange program at the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University. The students participated in clinical and research training across various departments as follows:
During the program’s closing ceremony, the students shared their exchange experiences and participated in a Thai–Japanese cultural exchange with local medical students. The Japanese students demonstrated traditional paper folding, including cranes, boats, and hats, and shared the cultural belief that folding 1,000 paper cranes can help make wishes come true.
Thai culture was presented through the Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival, one of Thailand’s most iconic cultural events, along with demonstrations of traditional Thai dance and the “wai” (Thai greeting) gesture for the Japanese students to learn.
The Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, hopes this exchange program will serve as a foundation for further academic collaboration and the advancement of medical services between Thailand and Japan.

นักศึกษาแพทย์จาก St. Marianna University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น สำเร็จโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ที่คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. พร้อมแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมไทย–ญี่ปุ่น
วันที่ 14 พฤศจิกายน 2568 นักศึกษาแพทย์ชั้นปีที่ 5 จำนวน 3 คน จาก St. Marianna University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น สำเร็จโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ ณ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น โดยนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนทั้ง 3 คนได้เข้าร่วมเรียนรู้ในสาขาวิชาต่าง ๆ ดังนี้
ในวันสำเร็จโครงการ นักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยน ได้นำเสนอประสบการณ์การแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ รวมทั้ง แลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมไทย–ญี่ปุ่น ร่วมกับนักศึกษาไทย โดยนักศึกษาจากญี่ปุ่นได้สาธิตการพับกระดาษ เช่น การพับนก เรือ และหมวก พร้อมเล่าความเชื่อว่า “การพับนกกระเรียนกระดาษ 1,000 ตัว จะช่วยให้คำขอพรเป็นจริง”
ด้านวัฒนธรรมไทย มีการนำเสนอขบวนแห่เทียนพรรษาของจังหวัดอุบลราชธานี ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในเอกลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมของไทย พร้อมทั้งสาธิต การรำและการจีบมือแบบไทย ให้กับนักศึกษาญี่ปุ่นได้เรียนรู้
คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น หวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ครั้งนี้จะเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของ ความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการพัฒนาระบบบริการทางการแพทย์ระหว่างไทย–ญี่ปุ่น อย่างยั่งยืน

日本の聖マリアンナ医科大学の医学生が、コンケン大学医学部での学習交流プログラムを修了し、日タイ両国の文化交流も行いました
2025年11月14日、日本の聖マリアンナ医科大学からの5年次医学生3名が、コンケン大学医学部での学習交流プログラムを修了しました。3名の交換留学生は、以下の各専門分野で学習を行いました。
本プログラムの最終日には、交換留学生がこれまでの学習経験を発表し、タイと日本の文化交流をタイ人学生とともに行いました。日本人学生は折り紙の実演として、鶴、船、帽子などの折り方を紹介し、「千羽鶴を折ると願いが叶う」という日本の伝統的な信仰についても説明しました。
タイ文化の紹介では、タイを代表する文化の一つであるウボンラーチャターニー県のキャンドルフェスティバル（ろうそく祭り）を紹介し、タイ舞踊の基本動作や指先の使い方（ジープムー）を日本人学生に体験してもらいました。
コンケン大学医学部は、今回の交流学習が、将来にわたる日タイ間の学術協力および医療サービスの発展につながることを心より期待しています。

On November 7, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (MDKKU) warmly welcomed a group of exchange students from Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities, People’s Republic of China. The group comprised undergraduate students majoring in Preventive Medicine and postgraduate students in Public Health, who visited the Faculty to gain insights into Thailand’s healthcare service system and academic environment.
The study visit featured two main learning activities:
This visit formed part of the Academic and Cultural Exchange Program organized by the Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University, from November 2–15, 2025. The program aims to strengthen academic collaboration, foster mutual learning in the field of health sciences, and deepen cultural understanding between Thailand and the People’s Republic of China — laying a strong foundation for future international cooperation in education and healthcare development.

เมื่อวันที่ 7 พฤศจิกายน 2568 คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ให้การต้อนรับคณะนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนจาก Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน ซึ่งประกอบด้วยนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี สาขาเวชศาสตร์ป้องกัน และระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา สาขาสาธารณสุขศาสตร์ ที่เดินทางมาศึกษาดูงานเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และเรียนรู้ระบบบริการสุขภาพของประเทศไทย
กิจกรรมศึกษาดูงานจัดขึ้น ณ สองสถานที่หลัก ได้แก่
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ โครงการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวิชาการและศึกษาวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งจัดโดยคณะสาธารณสุขศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ระหว่างวันที่ 2–15 พฤศจิกายน 2568 เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางวิชาการ การแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านสุขภาพ และสร้างความเข้าใจระหว่างวัฒนธรรมระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน อันเป็นรากฐานสำคัญในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือทางวิชาการในอนาคต

On November 3, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (KKU), warmly welcomed Dr. Chanthakhane VONGSAVATH and Dr. Soudaphone THAMMAVONG, medical residents from the University of Health Sciences, Lao PDR, who joined an elective program in Emergency Medicine from November 3–28, 2025.
The program aims to enhance medical knowledge exchange and provide hands-on experience in advanced clinical settings, particularly in the field of Emergency Medicine — a vital specialty in acute and critical care management. Participants will have opportunities to observe and learn under the supervision of expert instructors and gain insights into the emergency care system at KKU Srinagarind Hospital.
This exchange not only strengthens the professional capacity of healthcare personnel but also fosters a strong academic partnership and enduring friendship between the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, and the University of Health Sciences, Lao PDR, paving the way for future collaboration in medical education and training.
คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ต้อนรับแพทย์ประจำบ้านจาก สปป. ลาว ศึกษาดูงานด้านเวชศาสตร์ฉุกเฉิน
เมื่อวันที่ 3 พฤศจิกายน 2568 คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ให้การต้อนรับ Dr. Chanthakhane VONGSAVATH และ Dr. Soudaphone THAMMAVONG แพทย์ประจำบ้านจาก University of Health Sciences สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว (สปป. ลาว) ซึ่งเดินทางมาศึกษาดูงานและแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ (Elective) ด้านเวชศาสตร์ฉุกเฉิน ระหว่างวันที่ 3 – 28 พฤศจิกายน 2568
โครงการดังกล่าวมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ทางการแพทย์ และเพิ่มพูนประสบการณ์ในสภาพแวดล้อมทางคลินิกขั้นสูง โดยเฉพาะในสาขาเวชศาสตร์ฉุกเฉิน ซึ่งเป็นสาขาที่มีบทบาทสำคัญต่อการดูแลผู้ป่วยภาวะวิกฤต ทั้งนี้ ผู้เข้าร่วมจะได้เรียนรู้จากการปฏิบัติจริงภายใต้การดูแลของคณาจารย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ตลอดจนศึกษาระบบการจัดการงานฉุกเฉินในโรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์

The Faculty of Medicine at Khon Kaen University (KKU) is hosting a specialist surgeon from Myanmar for an advanced study visit focused on complex surgical procedures.
Dr. Pyae Pa Pa Kyaw, a qualified Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic (HBP) Surgeon, will be based at the university’s Department of Surgery from 3-28 November 2025.
The primary objective of the visit is for Dr. Pyae Pa Pa Kyaw to enhance her technical skills and exchange practical experience with the surgical teams at Srinagarind Hospital, the university’s main teaching hospital. The training will concentrate on the surgical management of complex diseases affecting the liver, pancreas, and biliary tract.
Faculty of Medicine, KKU expressed its confidence that the knowledge gained during the visit will be applied to benefit patient care upon her return to Myanmar.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ต้อนรับ “Dr. Pyae Pa Pa Kyaw ” ศัลยแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านตับ ตับอ่อน และทางเดินน้ำดี (Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgeon) จากเมียนมา ที่เดินทางมาศึกษาดูงานและแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ด้านเทคนิคการผ่าตัด ณ สาขาวิชาศัลยศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ระหว่างวันที่ 3 – 28 พฤศจิกายน 2568 โดยมีเป้าหมายหลักเพื่อเพิ่มพูนทักษะและแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์จริง ด้านการผ่าตัดและการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยกลุ่มโรคตับและตับอ่อนที่มีความซับซ้อน ณ โรงพยาบาลศรีนครินทร์

On 31 October 2025, Dr. Ekaterina Chernova, a first-year Neurology Resident from Privolzhsky Research Medical University, Russia, successfully completed an exchange program at the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University.
Dr. Chernova participated in the program in two specialized fields:
On her graduation day, she presented the outcomes of her exchange program to faculty members and fellow students, sharing insights on clinical techniques and best practices she gained during her training in Thailand.
Dr. Chernova said:
“This exchange program has allowed me to learn new medical techniques and broaden my perspectives in both neurosurgery and rehabilitation medicine on an international level. Working with Thai faculty and students also enhanced my intercultural communication skills.”
This exchange program provides an important opportunity to build professional networks between medical students and residents from abroad, while promoting global standards in medical education and clinical practice.
แพทย์ประจำบ้านสาขาประสาทวิทยาจากรัสเซียสำเร็จโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ที่คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น
วันที่ 31 ตุลาคม 2568 ดร. Ekaterina Chernova แพทย์ประจำบ้านสาขาประสาทวิทยา (Neurology Resident) ชั้นปีที่ 1 จาก Privolzhsky Research Medical University ประเทศรัสเซีย สำเร็จโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ ณ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น
ดร. Chernova ได้เข้าร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ในสองสาขาวิชา ได้แก่ สาขาศัลยศาสตร์ (หน่วยประสาทศัลยศาสตร์) และ สาขาเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟู
ในวันสำเร็จการศึกษา ดร. Chernova ได้นำเสนอผลการเข้าร่วมโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ต่อคณาจารย์และเพื่อนนักศึกษา พร้อมแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับเทคนิคการรักษาและแนวปฏิบัติทางคลินิกที่ได้รับจากการฝึกในประเทศไทย
ดร. Chernova กล่าวว่า “ประสบการณ์การแลกเปลี่ยนครั้งนี้ช่วยให้ได้เรียนรู้เทคนิคทางการแพทย์ใหม่ ๆ และขยายมุมมองด้านเวชศาสตร์ฟื้นฟูและประสาทศัลยศาสตร์ในระดับสากล การได้ทำงานร่วมกับอาจารย์และนักศึกษาไทยยังช่วยพัฒนาทักษะการสื่อสารระหว่างวัฒนธรรมอีกด้วย”
การแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ครั้งนี้ถือเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการสร้างเครือข่ายวิชาชีพระหว่างนักศึกษาแพทย์และแพทย์ประจำบ้านจากต่างประเทศ พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมมาตรฐานการเรียนการสอนและการรักษาในระดับสากล
“Working with experienced instructors and exploring advanced imaging systems truly broadened my professional perspective. I now have a clearer understanding of global radiologic practices and how to apply them in my future career.”
“Through this elective, I learned that medicine goes beyond procedures and diagnosis — it’s also about understanding people from different cultures and providing care with empathy. This experience truly opened my eyes to the global nature of medical practice.”
